What Rookies Will You Start?

Keep your rookies on your taxi as long as you can to maximize your roster depth. This is obviously easier when you are already a competitor. When you have the need pull the trigger and active a rook. Just no there is no turning back from activating from taxi.in team 1 below and I’m guaranteed one of the big 3 WRs. I’m pretty sure that player will ride my taxi bench most if not all of 2024.

Response to the original question, here's how I see the rookie seasonal rankings for '24 redraft (which equates to who I think are FF starters):

QB: CW/JD will be ~QB12/13. Weekly starters in SF. JJM/Maye (once he's the starter) will be closer to QB20 - also legit SF starters.

RB: too early to tell. I expect Brooks to be a weekly starter for the back half of the season

WR: MHJR will be top-10 at the position, a round 2 pick and a must start if you draft him in redraft. Nabers will be closer to WR36 and a viable (but not must) start. Odunze/Worthy/McConkey/BTJ will all be b/w 36-50 so bench depth. If I had to pick one now to start it would be McConkey but Worthy is climbing up as R.Rice implodes.

TE: Bowers will be a week one starter in most redraft leagues. The position stinks and some people will want the "upside" of Bowers over the mediocrity of guys like Ferguson, Goedert and Schultz.

I tend to wait and see overall, though I'm also not getting these elite prospects most years. No reason to risk it with my competitive teams. I think I had Olave on the bench for 2-3 weeks before I started him and he had a fast start.

Same here.

Last year I didn't start Stroud until week 4. Did not start Dell until week 4. It took me that long to be convinced they didn't just have one good game.

Sadly, I never started AOC. But this year...

Good thing, it was pretty hard to predict which 3 of his starts he would put up double digit fantasy points.
