Trade up from Nico? General thoughts on depth?

All 3 teams in my signature are pretty top-heavy. Some have depth, others are very light on the bench. (All are 12tm PPR SF)

First, a specific question for Team 2:

I've got a guy who's in the midst of a rebuild and is trying hard to acquire my '25 1st. I know that he's not opposed to trading away his higher end assets in pursuit of '25 1sts because on draft day he traded away GW + 3rd for 1.10 + (late) '25 1st

I think I might be able to consolidate a bit and go after MHJ

I'm not positive, but I'm reasonably confident that something like: [Nico + Swift + '25 1st] could get me in the MHj conversation

Would you make this trade if possible?
Should I be holding that 1st in case something goes wrong in the QB room where I only have Russ as a depth option?

And then a general question, how much do you prioritize depth on your dynasty teams? I think you need elite players to win championships. Sometimes the only way to acquire those is to pay up with depth, picks, or some combination of the two. On the flip side, I've had championship runs derailed because I didn't have enough depth and ran into injuries.

Try it but I bet it gets rejected.

Depth is more important the larger the league and/or starting requirements. You always need 1 star table back up (at minimum) to account for bye weeks and injuries. With RB the most injury prone position, holding as many lottery ticket players is also key.

If I can get MHJ for Nico, Swift and likely a late 25 1st. I’m making the move.


And depth is more important the larger the league/rosters. Once I hit 14 teams, I’m probably going to over value depth over just stars
