Should I pass on Caleb

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Should I pass on Caleb

Postby QueenCity25 » Sun May 05, 2024 1:41 pm

10SF

Taking MHjr at 1. The team at 2 is pretty set on Daniels at 2 (Big LSU fan)

If Caleb is there at 3 is stupid to shop the pick? The owner at 1.4 also owns 1.5 and 1.7.

I would aim to get 2-3 of those. Hopefully being Maye and Nabers.

We’re the board stand, stupid to pass up Caleb at 3?

If I couldn't get a trade done to move back to 4 and pick up something nice, I'd just take Caleb.

Stupid? No, not at all.

But I would simply draft Nabers at 1.03 rather than gambling in a trade down. *shrugs*

I think 4 and 5 is just fine for a trade back from Caleb. I’d even consider 4+7 + something.

That being said, your QB room has a fair amount of questions with AR and Bryce. Leaving with MHJ and Caleb isn’t the worst thing in the world here. It’d just be a tough pill to swallow to have him fall in your lap at 3 and to not extract as much trade value as possible

FWIW, I moved off of 1.02 (Caleb) for 1.05 + two 2025 1s (team 2). I would’ve taken him at 2 if I couldn’t get a deal done but I was happy to get what I got for him
Team 1
Q: Allen, Lamar
W: Devonta, Nuk, Godwin, Adams, Diontae, MT, Bateman, Toney, Osborn
R: JT, Henry, Ekeler, Gibbs, Mattison, Ford
T: Kelce

Team 2
Q: Allen, Mahomes, ARich
W: Jefferson, AJB, Tyreek, GW, Ridley, Godwin, MT, Downs, Toney
R: JT, CMC, Barkley, Breece, J. Cook, Kamara
T: Kelce, Hock
2024: 1.04, 1.05, Pick 21
2025: 1st (early), 1st (early), 1st (mid)

Team 3
Q: Lamar, Herbert, Goff, Geno
W: Chase, MHJ, AJB, Waddle, Pittman, Ridley, MT, Terrace Marshall, Downs
R: CMC, Bijan, Barkley, JT, Brooks, Ekeler
T: Andrews, Granson

Team 4
Q: Mahomes, Allen, Geno
W: Tyreek, Lamb, Ridley, Pittman, Diontae, MT
R: CMC, Henry, JT, Chubb, Dobbins, Tucker
T: Kelce, Gesicki, Kittle

Great position you are in. I'd be thrilled to draft Nabers but if you can trade back all the better.

If you can get something of at least 1.04 and 1.07, then I’d move back. If you can’t, I’m probably staying put and drafting Caleb because your QB room has talent but questions at the same time. If I can get Caleb, then I’d see if you can get 1st round value for BY…Getting Nabers would be nice but I feel you need more security at QB than WR since your taking MHJ at 1

I appreciate yall!

I go back and forth so much.

I agree my QB has some uncertainty. I have tried to trade Tua for someone more consistently healthy but can’t seem to get any bites worth his value.

I do believe if I could trade back off1.3 and pick up 1.4 and 1.5 I think I’d prefer Nabers and Maye at this time. Just hard to know if that manager would do that.

If I’m stuck at the clock I can’t decide between taking Caleb for the SF value with the hope that I could offload one QB later in the season or taking the guy I believe in alot in Nabers.

I’m jaded as a UNC fan.

4 and 7 would be a good trade down as well if you can’t get 4 and 5. You’ll get Nabers and then likely maye or jjm
