Been shopping Kirk Cousins pretty aggressively as my team has entered a semi-to-total rebuild. Had lots of interest but for pretty meh return. So far the best I’ve gotten is:

A: Give Cousins + 2.04; get mid 2025 1st
B: Give Cousins; get 2026 1st

At these prices I’m tempted to hold, but curious what others have seen in return for him lately or what you’d pay for him in SF.

For what it’s worth my team is:
Cousins/Young/Tannehill
Charbonnet/Gibson/J. Wilson/Akers/Herbert
Flowers/Pickens/D. Smith/Dotson/Godwin/C. Samuel
Njoku/Knox
1.04, 2.02, 2.04, 4.04, 4 25 1sts, 2 25 2nds

Hold. More/better offers will come in-season.

He is worth approximately one Rupee

I’m a Cousins buyer because his value is low right now. I would hold unless presented with a good deal that you don’t question.

Worst case scenario you get these same types of offers once the season starts and you can move off him then.


I accepted him in a return for CJ Stroud recently (also obtained Aiyuk and Najee Harris) to obtain 2 starters and a backup QB (Stroud likely was my backup also)

So you are overpaying?

I might take the 2026 1st. I'm not sure you're going to beat that by too much in season.

If you want to sell Kirk grab that 2026 1st cause it has a better chance to get you a player you want instead of Kirk which maybe 1-3 owners are even interested in

I might too, but I have had the discussion with enough owners to think I can at least be selective with whose first I take.

Is the multiple owners offering you 1st for Kirk? If so smash best one

Can you play multiple owners off one another? Could see someone coughing up an extra 2nd to get it done and keep him off another contenders squad.

I think the Kirk owner in my league would probably pounce at getting a 26 1st for him.

Have 4 interested now and doing just that. Should be able to secure a 1st in value, even if late.

Created a new poll above for my current trade options. For reference, it is a 12tm SF league with QB/SF/2RB/2WR/TE/2FLX starting requirements. My team is in full on rebuild mode:

Cousins/Young/Tannehill/Lance
Akers/Gibson/Charbonnet/Herbert
Flowers/Smith/Pickens/Dotson/C Samuel/Godwin/M Wilson
Knox/Njoku
1.04, 2.02, 2.04, 4.04, 4.08
4 25 1sts/2 25 2nds

I like both offers, but lean the one where I get the 1.05 this year and secure at least one of Maye/Daniels

I'd want to pull the 2nd out. With Godwin included, feels like a slight overpay, but is what it is for a young QB.

Thanks for the insight, Menace. I think both are really close, fair deals. I could see it feeling like a slight overpay, but in my mind Cousins + 2.04 is what it would take to get to the 1.05 given Cousins’ general late 1st round valuation. And Downs is more or less equal to Godwin in dynasty. At least that’s the way it makes sense in my head.
