Take MHJ over Caleb at 1.01 with this roster and trade-averse league?

Question pertains to Team 1 in my signature.
Superflex league and I already have Burrow, Herbert, Richardson, and Jayden Daniels (from devy) at QB.

Unfortunately, the league is pretty trade averse. I've been trying to get teams to trade a top 10 WR to bolster my WR corps but everyone is either holding or asking for the moon. I've been trying to move a QB for a top 5 WR but everything has been rejected or countered with offers like a late 1st for those QBs.

If I take Caleb, I'll have 5 QB's for 2 QB slots and it looks like no one will offer fair value or give up a top WR.

In this specific case, would you still go Caleb and sit on a bunch of QB's or go MHJ and get that top WR here?

TIA!

I might be having a tired moment, if the draft hasn’t happened yet who’s Daniels?

don’t love passing up value because I think Caleb is the pick pretty easily, but in this case if nobody trades I think it’s fine to go Harrison

I'm fine going MHJr if you're set at QB. You've got 3 quality options already...

MHJ is a perfectly fine option at 1.01 imo

Jayden Daniels

Yeah, sorry, it's a 24 team, 2-copy devy league that usually complicates things more than it needs to if I mention it. The values for a 24 team, 2-copy league are very similar to a 12-team league so I just don't normally mention it. Only one copy can be picked while the player is in college, which saves one copy of each player for the rookie draft so it's not depleted.

Take Harrison Jr. then. You know your league better than we ever will. Do what you have to do to make your team better in your specific league rather than worrying about taking the guy who "should" go #1. Unfortunate that your league isn't active on the trade market.

In a trade-averse league, I'm actually more committed to getting the QB. It would sooooo hard to ever find good (let alone great) QB play without much trading, and I'd be willing to completely stock up at that position. I know you have four young QBs already, but you might never get the chance to add someone like Caleb again.

I'm even more into Caleb given your league settings. You start 1RB, 1WR, and 1TE with 5 flex. That gives you so much more opportunity to find a starter-worthy player at one of those positions. So that devalues RB and WR for me. Plus, with it begin 2PPR for TEs, you're likely starting three TEs every week on your team meaning Harrison is likely on your bench now, too.

TL;DR -- If getting a QB through trade is nearly impossible, then I'm taking a stab at elite QB whenever I get the rare (and relatively inexpensive) way of doing it. Other positions are easier to fill given the big flex and 2PPR for TE format.

Our OP has four tip 12-15 QBs Burrow, Herbert, Richardson, and Jayden Daniels. Like, what's he doing with Caleb if he can't trade? MHJr immediately slots into the startup line-up.

Devy. With striking gold there, go WR

I have no issues taking Harrison here.

That's a best way of doing devy.

MJH for me is fine in a two copy best ball
