16 Team, 1QB, Full IDP League
I'm a contender, and Kamara is my RB2. This seems like the last possible sell window. Do I take 1.14 and 2.14 or ride him into the ground?

Re: Kamara Value
If you're rebuilding, I don't think you'd get a better offer, and I'd pretty happily take this.
If you're competing, I'd still consider this depending on your RB depth. Odds are that 1.14 is a pretty sweet spot for rookie RBs who, starting in 2025, could have a meaningful workload. This would be a great way to reset the clock. But, if you're only real roster hole is the RB position behind Kamara, then I could see holding him here since the dropoff would be pretty steep.

Re: Kamara Value
If that's the best you can do I'd hang on to Kamara if you need the points he'll give you in 2024. If your season doesn't go as planned and he's productive there is going to be an in season sell window for you. But if you're in it to win it this year you leave the value on the table and go for a championship.

Re: Kamara Value
I don't see a realistic universe in which Kamara is *so* productive in-season that you'd ever get a better offer than what is on the table now. And I see a VERY realistic universe in which Kamara's fantasy production takes a huge hit (see Austin Ekeler). In Kamara's case, I think waiting and anticipating an in-season offer anything like this is far too risky.pmart33 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 8:16 am If that's the best you can do I'd hang on to Kamara if you need the points he'll give you in 2024. If we're talking about, say, CMC or D Henry, I could see it. I'm far more confident that both will either have production or, if not, there will still be realistic hope of production that someone might buy into. But for Kamara, I think his value could very easily bottom out -- and I think this offer is already priced at his ceiling. I have a hard time passing up this kind of value in April.

Re: Kamara Value
Agree this is max value, which is why I considered it... but I think I and others above have talked me out of it. Having a zero in my RB2 spot this season would kill me. My RB3 is AJ Dillon.
If I trade him now, I'm essentially retooling, but have a nice mix of assets (young and old) at every other position. In 16 team leagues, descent RBs are really tough to acquire with mandatory 2RB starting requirements. Think I gotta take one last shot at winning, and deal with the consequences if I don't next year when there will hopefully be better options in the draft.

Re: Kamara Value
Wide range of outcomes going forward for Kamara to be sure. If he gets hurt he could go down the Ekeler path where his value takes a big hit or he could stay healthy and give you something similar to the RB5 (in half PPR points per game) finish that he did last season. If that's the case you can absolutely get a late 1st and a dart throw in a 16 team league for him around the trade deadline. The team didn't add to their RB room this off-season indicating that Kamara is still very much in their plans in 2024.moishetreats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 8:23 amI don't see a realistic universe in which Kamara is *so* productive in-season that you'd ever get a better offer than what is on the table now. To me this comes down to the OP's stated goal of contending in 2024. The 14th and 28th picks in this year's class are nice to have this time of year but they are unlikely to replace the production that Kamara should give you come the season. The backs in this class just don't appear to be reliable right out of the gate, which is a problem for a contending team banking on Kamara this season.
