Purdy and McLaurin vs Bryce Young and Aiyuk

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Value is on the Purdy / McLaurin side. But with a new orphan in the rebuilder phase, I prefer Young and Aiyuk. Purdy’s value seems maxed out, and even if McLaurin gets a bump in production from his new QB, his value will just trend down with time.

I think Purdy is easily the most valuable piece. I do prefer Young over Terry, but I think Young’s value could fall faster than Terry’s if things start out poorly for him this year. I think I talked myself into it. Lol

Right now Purdy is better than Young however I do believe if Carolina can continue to surround Young with better Talent that started with this years draft that he does have the ability to be better than Purdy and Aiyuk is definitely better than McLaurin. I would also pass.

I have zero faith in Young…Purdy may be at his peak value but he’s better than Young….

I make this move, and draft MHJ.

The downgrade from Aiyuk to Terry is significant but the upgrade from Young to Purdy is more significant, and then when you add in MHJ, it tips the scales even more…

Young may be out of a job this time next year if Carolina doesn’t take a step forward

I’m gonna go with the Purdy side here. IMO, taking over an orphan in a foreign SF league, give me all the QB value I can get; I think Purdy offers the most stability for both roster points and value.Terry is just fine. Aiyuk is dope but you’ll survive. WRs are much easier to come by than QBs, and speaking of…Young sux

the purdy disrespect is staggering.

young will be lucky to ever be as good as purdy is right now. age difference is minimal and purdy has produced as a solid QB1.
aiyuk to mclaurin is a downgrade, not as sharp though, and the former just had and "up" year while the latter had a(nother...) "down" year, so the difference might not look that big a year from now.

i'm happily taking purdy for the price.

i got purdy side very easily. hes been a qb1 in 75% of his games. i dont care at all about 200 yards and 3 more tds from my wr spot. i do care about having a high end QB in a SF and not hoping and praying for dramatic improvement

yes staggering is right .. We only hoped Young did what Purdy has coming out he didnt but we still put him above a QB who has done nothing but put up numbers. Crazy and I one of the biggest young supporters out there.
