Bijan/1st for CMC/Laporta/2nd

I just made a trade in a home keeper league. Thoughts?

10 Team, 16-man rosters, non-PPR, standard scoring six-player keeper league, starters are QRRWWTFFKD

I traded Bijan Robinson and my 2025 1st for CMC, Laporta, and 2025 2nd.
•Draft pool are rookies and vets after the 60 keepers are declared.

My Keepers before the trade: Bijan, Breece, Garret Wilson, Waddle, Javonte Williams, DJM
My Keepers after the trade: CMC, Breece, Garret Wilson, Waddle, Laporta, and Javonte (just because RBs are hoarded in this league and WRs are plentiful)

This has been my long-standing home league, of which I've been a part with non-serious FFB owners. Because of shallow rosters and shallow starting requirements (only eight position players), there's always talent on the WW. Traditionally, I've streamed QB and TE on this team, but with such a shallow bench, I haven't been successful in stashing enough players at both positions to do this, so I made a move to get my "every week" TE.

My thought for the short-term is CMC = Bijan, and hopefully, my 2025 1st will be late.

Opinions on this trade?

Given the keeper aspect and not dynasty I really, really hate this deal for you. It's not Bijan and 1st for CMC and LaPorta and 2nd... it is ultimately Bijan, DJM, and 1st for CMC, LaPorta, and 2nd since you got to make room for LaPorta. Give me Bijan and DJM all day.

I understand what you’re saying. My only response to this, as it relates to DJM, is that I’ve owned him in this league the last three years and have dropped him the past two years and redrafted the last two in the third round so there’s absolutely no desire for him I the league except for me, apparently. I’ve shopped him and can’t get bites so there’s a good chance I can pick him back up… or another WR with his production level.

I agree with this even with the chance you can get DJM back.

At this point I'd be trying to trade any two WRs for an upgrade even if I'm losing on value. Cutting DJM would be painful. I'd offer Wilson/Waddle to the Chase, JJ and Lamb managers. I'd rather roster any of those three plus DJM vs. Wilson/Waddle.
