Trade Reversal Request from Owner

In a 12 team SF league, a couple weeks ago I was offered a trade of me receiving CJ Stroud and 3.09 for my Brock Purdy and Brian Robinson and I accepted it. Two weeks after the trade was completed, the same owner reached out saying a buddy was clowning him for the trade and that's when he realized it was for Brian Robinson and not Bijan and asked if we can reverse the trade and workout something else. Had this been right away after the trade, I could understand it more but being two weeks old and him having time to think more it seems like it might just be buyers remorse. Not to mention that this is on Sleeper where the player picture with jersey is shown which would make it clear this wasn't Bijan. I know most would say the value is clearly on my side in this trade, but am I in the wrong here for not agreeing to reverse this?

Two weeks is too long. I'd have for sure reversed it immediately after, but not now.

The trade screen in Sleeper doesn’t have player photos and would list both as “B. Robinson” (with the differentiator being the smaller text that has NFL team abbreviation).

That said, I agree that two weeks is a really long time and would lean towards not reversing, unless there’s other material info we don’t have.

I have a hard time thinking it took him two weeks to realize his mistake. Clearly sounds like his buddy clowning him has caused him to have second thoughts. I would not reverse the trade as "good faith" without more.

Pass. Two weeks is too long. If you want to undo the trade in exchange for something that's your decision (and also dependent on your league rules). But the reality is that he offered the trade, you accepted, and he was fine with it for 2 weeks.

Side note:
Last off season I got a trade offer where the team offered me bijan for very little. I noticed he had Brian Robinson on his team to. I messaged him asking to check over his offer and if he was sure he wanted to make the move. He said "oops thanks".

Honestly I don't think the original offer is that bad. Maybe it's under the consensus value, but I think this doesn't pan out too badly for him.

Agree with the consensus here. He offered the trade, it was accepted. He waited two weeks and had buyer's remorse. That will teach him to think twice about the offers he makes before hitting "send". Lesson learned.

Being on Sleeper & the name being B. Robinson, I think there's a chance that he really did think he was offering for Bijan. But as has been said, it's been two weeks. No obligation to reverse.

A tangent here but this is one of the many details I don't like about Sleeper. I don't think it's run by fantasy football players.

Immediate request and I would have definitely agreed.
Next day request and I almost certainly would have agreed.
Two weeks, and "all sales are final."

i'd be telling the commish to pound sand.

even if it was an immediate request. a trade between two willing partners is a trade.

Maybe I'm the only one (maybe not). But I seriously check, re-check, and check again before sending trade offers. My heart rate increases, and I actually get a little nervous before I actually click "send". Possibly making too big a deal out of a fantasy trade, but I honestly worry a bit that I'd clicked the wrong player/asset, and I make doubly sure that I haven't before I propose a deal.

Maybe why I've never had the misfortune of sending an offer I didn't actually mean to send.

People put too much in the timeline during the off season.

Honest mistake is the real question but he made the offer it sounds like so not sure this is even an issue.

Did you own both Robinson players?

And this is me also. Every time I send an offer, I double check it to make sure I didn't do something stupid (like offering to send the 1.10 and instead sending the 1.01).

Not only that, I find myself logging back into the site 5-10 minutes after I’ve sent it to look at outstanding proposals and double check it again. Haha
