All good additions. I think the Hull's may be tops, though. Both HOF'ers, are there any others that both are in the Hall? Depends how much you put on one of them, Griffey Jr, Steph, both better, but their father's were no slouches. Same with the Manning's, but the Hull's were both at the top of the league as offensive player's in their respective generations.
Jr is the most over rated driver in NASCAR history

Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
Haha yeah I don’t expect MHJ will bust. I think he would be fine even if his name was Jamarcus Russell Jr. And as far as Thaddeus, I guess my homerism got the best of me there, hoping for him to work out. Bloodline definitely plays a big part in athletics…but clearly isn’t the end all be all. Jr has to want it and put in the work. A lot do. But a lot don’t.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 10:39 amBut....but.....you must have remembered him, in order to make this post......slaughterrt wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 9:50 am Remember Thaddeus Moss?
Yeah I don’t either.
Another HOF bloodline that couldn’t even stay on a pro team.
Does this mean MHJ is going to be a bust?
In all seriousness, if MHJ is even close to what he's supposed to be, across ALL major sports, what father/son combo will beat them?
The Griffey's are up there right now, who else?

Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
Well, back to Rice. I do think he is a top 20 WR in the draft and can be a WR 2. It's all dependent on the team, he probably needs a west coast offense and I think teams will view him as a Flanker, a role typically reserved for small fast guys, which is why his 4.5 40 KILLED him. But watching him he is far more advanced technique wise than most of the people coming out. His biggest issue and maybe his downfall is "clap attacking" deeper thrown balls which could be a tracking problem and not likely fixable.

Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
I absolutely disagree with the bolded. He has so many wasted steps and such sloppy rounded off moves that NFL CBs will be able to give him an extra step or two of cushion and still recover in time to ruin the completion. Jeudy had (and has) the same issues with wasted motion but with sharper technique than Rice and pro DBs can manage him. Rice is going to have a tougher time and has a longer way to go.HippieJuice wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 9:06 am Well, back to Rice. I do think he is a top 20 WR in the draft and can be a WR 2. Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
It's funny to me because so many people hate him, especially after his 40 time (not saying you) but I keep going back and watching. I will agree on the rounded off moves, especially from from the stem. But... look at other factors. He has a great release. He gets separation with technique even if the faster backs can eventually catch up.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 11:40 amI absolutely disagree with the bolded. I think dad taught him a lot and he sets up the DB's. He sells his moves great. He has great breaks qand can drop his weight. He is good on the boundary, tracking the ball, (even if he occasionally claps at it), he shields from the defender. He gets good position. He has focus.
I think he is 15 to 20 off the board and would be higher if faster. TD machine.

Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
I don’t think many, if anyone, hate Rice. They just haven’t duped themselves into falling in love with a flawed prospect simply because of lineage.HippieJuice wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 12:18 pmIt's funny to me because so many people hate him, especially after his 40 time (not saying you) but I keep going back and watching. I think it is because of his off the field issues and switching to a new school every other week. Plus the Georgia and Bama coaches had nothing good to say about him.mild wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:07 pmAll I know is that this Rice is heavily discounted. I'm just saying - so long as you're gambling deep in the 4th... why not gamble on the guy that's actually talented at football...

Re: Why "experts" ignore Brandon Rice?
i've heard a lot about his "off the field issues" but nothing specific: like, is he just an all around twat? does he punch kids, does stupid things on a night out, problems with law, rips bongs in a gas mask?
