1.01; how much is too much?

10 Tm 1QB league (shallow)

I’m a contender with lots of great pieces, probably missing a couple TOP end pieces. I’ve tried a couple splash moves this off-season (rejected), and generally have struggled consolidating pieces.

Given that, considering an offer for 1.01. Would Metcalf+1.08 be too much? Not enough? Got someone else to target?

Thanks for the input all!

Likely not enough. In a shallow format, I doubt that gets a conversation started...

you want a premium pick that is going hurt some, waddle/1-08 might get a conversation going.

You’d need to do something more like Barkley (instead of 1.08) + DK and even that might not be enough. Gotta overpay for 1.01 if you want it

I’d personally start the convo with DK + what = 1.01 to the person. Let them tell you what’s needed on top

I offered Zay Flowers, 1.08 and a 2025 late 1st and was rejected. 16-team league.

DKM+1.08 is likely not close to enough ... unless the other guy is a dynasty idiot.

I'm betting a winning offer will look something like 1.08+Waddle(orDKM)+'25 1st, but maybe with more added. Like others said, most finalized trades for the 1.01 will have to hurt your soul to close it. The trade will have to make you seriously consider whether or not you should actually go through with it.

You may even have to include a sweetener like Javonte or Mixon, on top of the rest.

What's the roster of the other guy's team?

In my opinion, you aren't even remotely close. DK just is not a piece people are going to covet in a shallow format

I would need more. Harrison is just too hyped for me

You need to think three firsts to get the 1.01. Heck, I had a guy quote me 1.06 + 1.02 to move to 1.01.

I moved up from 1.09 to 1.01 in a 1 QB league and it cost me A LOT. But I am a contender (1st/2nd all year) and I felt I could lose the depth (and aging assets) I was moving in order to get Harrison, who was my target. I gave up—

1.09 + Lamar + DHenry + Diggs + Downs + Andrews + 25 1st (late)
for
1.01 and droppable crap WRs

My starters will be

Allen
Kamara, Jacobs/ZWhite
Lamb, Puka, DJM, Olave/Harrison
Ferguson
K
D

Did I overpay? Yes. If Harrison is who I think he is, I'm set for years to come.
I also have picks 1.01, 2.10, 3.01, 3.02, 3.10, 4.01 to take a few more shots.
