This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

His upside is well worth the risk. I gave up Cousins, 1.10, and 2.10 for Achane and McBride in a 12 team SF Dynasty league last year late in the year.

The upside is what has me interested. I do think Bowers will be solid but I’m trying to win now and that kind of guy in the lineup is tantalizing. You’d pull the trigger here?

I don’t really understand the prices ppl are paying for Achane. You could get a far better player for that price. And I like Achane but he’s small and got hurt.

Nah, especially since your roster seems kind of light to me AND it's not BB.

There are a lot of other RBs I'd rather give up two firsts for.

Honestly Miami last yr seemed like the old Denver Broncos... really didn't matter who the running back was but they were getting POINTS!
Achane looked good when played but I'm not giving that package for him. Late 1t is the highest he should be going for

I'm buying at the prices implied in this thread. I get the injury risk. But I'll take it. IMO Achane's value will peak in September when folks need to fill out starting line-ups - which still require RBs! I'd happily give a late first in SF for Achane. The late first carries just as much (albeit different) risk. At least we've seen Achane be a FF difference maker and his situation hasn't changed much since last year. The restructuring of Mostert means MIA can (if they want) avoid RB in the draft.

OP: I think the take away is that you shouldn't have to pay that much to get him. And if you do, it's an overpay.

He just went in the 3rd of our startup so 1.7 and a 1st is roughly equal there

Interesting. That seems a tad early for Achane in an SF start-up and also a bit surprised that seven of the rookies would go in the first three rounds. But even if Achane and the 7th rookie both went in the fourth round, that means the same relative value.

I like looking at start-up ADP to assess player value but I think it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Players seems to get treated differently in start-ups vs. established leagues. Probably because most people don't approach the start-up with the intent of immediately rebuilding. Side note: it's that dynamic that makes "Productive Struggle" viable.

Thanks for the post. Mistakenly assumed 1QB.

In a SF, I'm keeping the 1.07 over Achane but it's fairly even. I'm definitely not adding the 2025 1st on top though.
