2024 GEDL Early Rookie Draft Official Thread

Hey Friends

It's that time of the year again. The GEDL Rookie Draft kicks off this Friday. For those of you who don't know about this. It is a 14 team 1 QB Dynasty league that holds its rookie draft two weeks before the actual NFL Draft. This is also a very deep draft that spans 98 picks over 7 rounds. Moving forward, we are starting the rookie draft 3 weeks before the NFL Draft. In the past, we always have done it two weeks prior.

We always try to follow this thread and discuss our draft picks. This league is an actual money league ($50 per team) so there is some skin in the game. This isn't some meaningless mock draft. Feel free to comment on our picks good or bad and tell us what you would've done. We only ask that you not discuss players who are still on the board.

I always post a link to the prior year's draft as well. So you can really fall down a decade+ long rabbit hole of crazy picks if you want.

I like how Indiana Icepicks has pre draft on 2.14 and 5.14 already, but none of the others. Plans already in place!

Madison Mustangs here. Looking forward to this draft as I did a mini blow up last yr and have quite a bit of draft capital along with a decent young qb/rb core. Really need to fill in my WR corps and luckily this draft his WR heavy. Will always go BPA tho! Also willing to trade for a young stud WR. Have a few offers in the hopper so we will see which route I take, currently undecided.

Picks: 4, 5, 14, 18, 32, 36, 50, and a couple super late darts. Also have all my picks next yr.

I like it! Will have options at 4 & 5, and can likely grab a good WR at 14 also.

Looking SOLID at QB. Could pull a 'Houston' and have had a quick rebuild and be competing sooner rather than later!

Made a trade and was able to bolster my WR corps. Was hoping Rome would get to 1.4 but no luck so was able to make the trade below.

I gave: 1.4, 1.5, Anthony Richardson
I received: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison

Feeling good about where this team is at. May just let the draft play out now and see if somebody I like falls a bit.
