Breaking News: Diggs trades to HOU

Very odd trade on HOU part then to move a mid 2nd for one year rental.

I heard that they’ll also get a compensatory pick if he walks though. Not sure how early it would be.

I think this moves gives Houston options. If Diggs plays well, he will get a fair open market contract, that doesnt mean it will not come from Houston. Houston either pays Diggs the fair open market rate, or they move on if they choose too.
Plus, it gives Houston an option at paying Diggs and not Nico after this season.
The move also gives Houston, arguably, the best WR group in the league.

I think this is 100% it. The Texans are doing what the Rams did. Go all in, spend your money profusely but wisely, and go get that SB. Right now.

If they don't get the SB this year, they way they set up their current contracts, Houston can cut a lot of salary and use next offseason to reset for another run in 2025. Very smart.

Stroud is definitely that guy who is good enough to lead a team to a SB right now. No need to have a three year plan to build up. Houston's three-year plan is to be flexible enough to reset every single year until they have to give Stroud a 2nd contract.
