Rachaad White Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rachaad White Trade

Postby bg1289 » Wed Mar 27, 2024 1:36 pm

Trade away: Rachaad White, Chris Godwin
Receive: 2024 1.07, Josh Downs OR Tyjae Spears

Thoughts on this? Giving up too much? Too little? I know it leaves me a huge hole at RB, but I don't see myself seriously competing this year and I could use that 1st to try and move up if I want.
10tm 1 QB TEP START: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE
QBs: Dak Prescott, Justin Fields, Russell Wilson
RBS: Rachaad White, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, Tank Bigsby, Michael Carter, Pierre Strong
WRS: CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, Diontae Johnson, Chris Godwin, Christian Kirk, Jerry Jeudy, Marquise Brown, Alec Pierce, Michael Gallup, Calvin Austin,
TE: Cole Kmet, Gerald Everett, Noah Gray, Taysom Hill

Picks:
2024: 1.05, 1.06, 2.03, 2.06, 3.01
2025: two 1sts (mid-late?), five 2nds, two 3rds
2026: two 1sts, 2nd, 3rd

I feel like that team would actually be pretty competitive. What am I missing here? Is it the TE room you don't like? Maybe I'm looking at it from the lens of a 16 team league?

I guess the trade is ok-ish? But I wonder if guys like that could fetch more in season if the Bucs start out hot. If you were to make this trade, you'd probably want to sell off other assets and start a rebuild.

Thanks for the thoughts. Yeah, I think you may be looking at it from a 16 team league lens. For example, one team in the league has Chase, ARSB, Waddle, and Olave. All on one team. I just think I have a bunch of middle of the road guys that can't compete with teams like that.

I'd be in on that. Been trying to move Godwin for something decent for a couple seasons with no luck. With what I saw from him production-wise with Baker, I wasn't thrilled. Baker just LOVES chucking it to Mike Evans. And he's getting older.

Rachaad White is the best of what the Bucs have now, but I see him as replaceable. I'd probably take Spears in return since WR's (and Bowers if he's available in TEP) are your best values at 1.05-1.07. Hit on a couple of studs (more important in 10 team) and you could start to clear out some of the end of bench players for more future picks.

I like the move but I really feel you could get a bit more for White and Godwin. 1.07 for White seems right, Godwin and Spears…maybe. Just feels like a smidge more that won’t sink the deal…maybe a small pick swap.

Yeah, my bad. I tend to look at every team, rub my chin for a minute, and declare to myself "Yeah, I could see that team winning a Championship". Probably need to work on that! Wow, that other team sounds pretty stacked.

I like that trade in a SF league, that 1.07 would have solid value.
In a 1 QB league, I don't like that trade so much
