This is pretty pointless until we have landing spots...
Like, this time last year - plenty of people would have been saying JSN...

Re: Rookie WR that finishes the season with most fantasy points (after the top 3)
I like the Mitchell call but wonder if he won’t need a year under his belt to optimize his talents.
I’m liking Pearsall as having the most pro ready game. He’ll need a very good WR1 to leverage his skill set underneath but I like how developed his game is.
McCaffrey is a dark horse for me. He’s played QB up to 2 years ago in a RPO system so he’s still got some learning curve, but his ball skills, my ball mentality and concentration during catching is almost otherworldly. He’s sure not going to be taken unawares going to the next level with his strong family pedigree. He’s also got good running capability for jet sweeps and he could run some wildcat, though passing should never be considered a strength of his.
Of course, this is all going to come down to where guys are drafted and how their immediate opportunity looks.

Re: Rookie WR that finishes the season with most fantasy points (after the top 3)
I think the jist here is assuming the top 3 are not landing spot dependent and will ball out regardless. Who the 4th one might be though. Obviously teams and schemes matter so I guess if we just cut to the chase, what WR (After, MHJ, Nabers, Odunze) will make an impact. I too kinda like Piersall. I believe that a slot receiver type has more of a chance to be immediately utilized. Just me.

Re: Rookie WR that finishes the season with most fantasy points (after the top 3)
I like them all pretty similarly but I'll throw some love Wilson's way given that it looks like most people are sleeping on him.
His game reminds me a lot of Tyler Lockett but with more wiggle and better body control at the catch point.
Re: Rookie WR that finishes the season with most fantasy points (after the top 3)
Lockett was very good in college. He’s maybe a little more stiff now than he was coming into the league (still not stiff imo)…but anyone being comped to Lockett’s college profile…that’s high praise.
Re: Rookie WR that finishes the season with most fantasy points (after the top 3)
Definitely, always been a big fan of Lockett's game.Valhalla wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 11:47 amLockett was very good in college. He’s maybe a little more stiff now than he was coming into the league (still not stiff imo)…but anyone being comped to Lockett’s college profile…that’s high praise.
Wilson's college production is definitely lacking compared to Lockett's.. but it's hard to say how different it would look if he weren't playing in Harbaugh's scheme and was up against the similarly bereft defensive talent Lockett enjoyed at KSU.

Fair I suppose.Sriracha wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 12:20 pmDefinitely, always been a big fan of Lockett's game.

When you go down in competition, dominance is expected. Without utter dominance, low level competition is a huge red flag…but if they’re dominating, well maybe there’s something there. Kupp, for instance, was utterly dominant.
Lockett’s competition wasn’t so poor though. It’s not like K-State plays nobody colleges. It’s not quite like playing in Alabama, but K-State is a decent level program.
