Burrow for Josh Allen

Last week I brought up a topic of moving either Baker or Goff to another contender who is in dire needs of a QB. Well after discussions began a surprising name got thrown out there, Josh Allen.

This owner won two seasons ago, where last season I started making moves to be a contender. Their current QB situation is Josh Allen and Minshew, where I have Burrow, Goff, Baker, Darnold and AOC. We are still working on details but here is where we currently sit

I'm trying to find a way to get the 1.11 added, and he wants London for that. I'm countering with Ayiuk. But I don't mind the deal as is, he doesn't seem to think it's enough.

Couple questions. Is Allen worth the upgrade on Burrow to help one of my main three competitors? Is the downgrade from Hock to Kincaid too much being a contender? And is missing out on the Burrow + Chase stack not worth it?

Comes down to how you value Baker. I tend to value that type of QB higher than the other managers in my leagues. Realistically he's probably worth about 2nd on the trade market which makes this deal look pretty cheap.

I don't like that this deal means you'd only have two starting QBs (maybe Darnold is three) and no draft picks to net another one. But it's your call and totally a fine deal to do.

This league is pretty balanced. Just about every team could make the playoffs and almost every team has three starting QBs (when you count the Darnolds and Minshews of the world).

You noted it’s deep lineups, I’m counting 12 team start 9. Wouldn’t consider that deep so I wouldn’t worry about giving extra pieces. Make this trade as is, do NOT add aiyuk for 1.11, why are you trying to add that?

Allen is the outlier at QB, he’ll set you apart from the balanced herd. I don’t know the exact number but he’s been QB1 the last 3 years I believe and by a typically large margin - it think maybe as much as 100 points one season to the #2

I guess we are more medium sized lineups lol.

Yeah if he'd agree to it as laid out I'd do it. But he wants another piece coming back and initially said London. So trying to find that balance. I may be able to get him to bite with the trade as is now since we can't seem to agree on an add.

Seems like you're almost giving away Baker for free. Now before 2023 season I would have not given that a second thought. But he's got value, especially in a SF league. I'd ask a draft pick back with Allen and Kincaid personally.

This is where I stand too. I mean I don't mind one of my mine competitors only having one viable starting QB. So if I'm helping him out I feel like it needs to be baked into the cost a bit

I think the trade is even as it but I wouldn’t be adding London or aiyuk for a dart throw 1.11 that doesn’t make any sense at all for you
