They still have a draft to pay...so unless they trade their draft away plus some other cap consuming players for Jefferson...not sure how they would even afford him.

There’s always a QB tax though. I’d expect it to be closer to Trey Lance which was 12 + 2 future 1sts to get to 3. You could argue 23 is worth more than a future 1st.

IF they go to 3, my guess is 11 + 23 + 2025 1st and they’d get some kind of maybe 3rd-4th round kicker coming back with pick 3.

I agree that the comp looks right on the value board, but the real problem is that there are 3 consensus "top QB's" and three teams locked into 1-2-3 that need them.

Getting the Patriots or Commies to move off their spot might take an overpay well beyond what would otherwise be reasonable. I honestly think we might have to throw out those comp draft boards for this one.

If anything this feels like it's setting up for QB's 1-2-3-4 in the draft.

Agree it’s not going to be for #2 or #3. I still think it’s going to be a trade up with the Chargers - who are looking to trade down. I think AZ is happy to sit there and take their choice of WR. Harbaugh does his boy a solid and makes sure he goes to a good situation.
