1.01 for 1.04/1.06? (Updated)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.01 for 1.04/1.06? (Updated)

Postby mzkp54 » Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:42 pm

Team in sig

I posted this a little while ago, but have since traded 1.03 in a deal for 1.07, 1.08, and Tank Dell. Several responses were based on the fact that I also had 1.03, so curious for opinions now.

Would you trade 1.01 for 1.04/1.06? I have 1.01, 1.07, 1.08, 1.11 currently. Team in sig. I have a ton of future draft capital as well, so a youth movement is definitely underway. I’m debating between taking Caleb, or tiering down to two of Daniels/Maye/Nabers/Odunze, in addition to getting 3 more rookies at 7/8/11. Or should I wait until the draft before making a move like this?

Appreciate any thoughts!

It's descent value. But you can only use so many WRs. I'd want a QB in a rebuild if I have Stafford at QB2. So I'm grabbing CW and not looking back.

Then shopping Stafford.

Menace has you covered here. The only way you make this deal is if you like all 3 QBs evenly and don’t care which falls to you (assuming Marvin goes top 3). Then maybe it’d be worth it but otherwise I’m getting Caleb and shopping Stafford as already suggested.

i prefer 4 and 6 but I can certainly understand holding and taking Williams. Do people have interest in your picks/futures? You very easily have enough value to flip this around into being the best team now and keeping plenty of young value if it’s an active league that values picks.

While I don't dislike the deal, I'd rather wait. The 1.01 is just about the least risky asset to be holding in all of dynasty. We *think* we know what's going to happen in the draft but we don't. This deal could look different if (much to our surprise) Maye falls. At this time last year folks were still projecting Levis to the Titans in the first round. The deal isn't compelling enough IMO to lose the safety of the 1.01. Plus a deal like this will probably be there at draft time. Hold.

i would have kept the 1-01 and 1-03 but neither were or are bads deals, adding Williams and Nabers to that room would have been exciting.

Love your first trade.
I think historically speaking the second trade is wise. Getting two darts is better than 1 for a QB. I like Williams and Maye. Harrison, Nabers, Bowers. And most like Odunze. But if I was trading williams for say Maye and Odunze I would not like that trade.
