Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
For 12 and 16 team leagues, when would you be willing to pull the trigger and take the rookie 1.1 over a vet in start up?
Re: Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
I've been seeing 1.01 go somewhere between picks 10-15 in startups this offseason

Re: Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
I think you see rookie 1.01 off the board around the 12th overall pick. Good Luck
Cheers

Never ceases to amaze me, but I bet this is exactly right.
FWIW - I think we should get some ADP data soon from Ryan M that includes the rookies. Always fun to unpack that.

It’s made from smal sample size of random people mock drafting so it’s not great adp data but it’s fun to unpack nonetheless!tstafford wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 4:31 amNever ceases to amaze me, but I bet this is exactly right.

In SF, it'll be around pick 12-14, depending if the owners there prefer the RBs or CW/MHJ.

Re: Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
I have seen over a dozen startup drafts done on various podcasts, and have yet to see any RB go ahead of the 1.01 in any of them.
Now I could see that happening in leagues where scoring favors RB's, 0.5 PPR or 0 PPR leagues, PPC leagues, or something like that.
However, with no PPC, no PFFD, Full PPR, RB's just are not going that high, from what I have seen.
Also, no way I would put a RB up that high on my board either.
Re: Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
To be fair the podcasters/Twitter self proclaimed experts always lean more toward wr and qb than the real drafts. That said I absolutely agree 1.01 will be ahead of the rbs in all ADP this off-season. There will be drafts that’s nkt the case but if we are talking average position 1.01 will be up in that late first range I think.MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 8:57 pmI have seen over a dozen startup drafts done on various podcasts, and have yet to see any RB go ahead of the 1.01 in any of them.

Agreed. There will always be outliers of any generalization.Mtt33 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 5:29 amTo be fair the podcasters/Twitter self proclaimed experts always lean more toward wr and qb than the real drafts. I just watched 2 startups tonight, 1.01 went at 1.12 and 2.01 in 12 team SF startup draft.
Top RB went at 2.10 and 2.09 respectfully.
Fantasy Stock Exchange and DynastyLand were the 2 different sites of these startups.
I think QB/WR go first due to longevity.
As QB/WR careers last longer than RB careers on average.

Do you recall when the 1.02 went in those drafts?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 11:34 pm

Re: Where to take rookie 1.1 in startup
I'm just guessing here, but probably within the next pick or two. 1.01 and 1.02 are valued almost the same in this class, as evidenced by how many people are willing to take MHJ over CW and vice versa.tstafford wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 3:31 amDo you recall when the 1.02 went in those drafts?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 11:34 pm

In my startup that started about a week ago (12tm superflex, TE premium) the 1.01 went pick 14.

1.02 (MHJ) went at 2.03 in both drafts.tstafford wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 3:31 amDo you recall when the 1.02 went in those drafts?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 11:34 pm

Just watched another mock SF startup done by Ron Stewart.
1.01 went at 1.09, and 1.02 was again 2.03.
Top RB did go at 2.04, which was earlier than normal.

2 picks later in one draft and 3 picks later in the other.
