Tua for 1.04

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tua for 1.04

Postby Last Place » Mon Feb 19, 2024 1:14 pm

team in the signature. I've had 3 top 2 finishes in a row but have decided to take a step back this season and retool. I've traded away a majority of my talent that's approaching the significant value drop territory, and have acquired 1.3, 1.5 and 2.5 in the upcoming draft. Im also close to a deal that lands me 1.6 in exchange for Metcalf. And another where I send Levis and 2.05 for 1.09. The final move I'm contemplating is Tua for 1.4. I know MHJ is going 1 and Daniels at 2 regardless of landing spots. This would put me in a spot to draft Williams, Maye, Nabers and either Bowers or Odunze. Just wondering if it would be wise to move off a somewhat established QB for one of these 2 QBs.

I would take the 1.04 for Tua. If you are seriously rebuilding, then it’s a solid return.

I like the 1.04 over Tua for the retooling. I hope you get that trade completed for the 1.06 because you will have this draft covered with 1.03,1.04,1.05,1.06.
Cheers
Mike

Seems about right to me. You know what you've got with Tua. The lack of any rushing caps his upside. The rookie pick has more upside. But more risk as well. Leaning toward the pick, but it's close.

I took the 1.04 for Tua ahead of last year's draft. Half the league laughed at the other guy, half the league laughed at me

I took Jahmyr Gibbs with that pick and didn't have the best QB room (Dak, Kyler-(IR at the time), Cousins-(hot start, eventual IR), Baker-(no one would touch him with a 3rd round pick at the time).

I'd do it again if I had the chance in 2024. Tua's solid, he's not special

Btw I like all the moves you have made & are about to make, and it's a bit bonkers to me that you have 2 people in your league who have A) told you their plans in the draft regardless of landing spots and B) have decided against Caleb Williams so early. Looks like it'll be a prosperous off-season for you lol

They guy at 1.01 is an Ohio state fan and loves Harrison. The guy at 2 hates Williams and thinks Daniels is the best QB in the draft (he's also desperately needing a QB but isn't interested in Tua). So all works out well for me.
