Besides from Lamb and Jefferson who are in their own production tier right now, Aiyuk is performing just as well as any other rookie WR yet doesn't receive nearly the same attention/hype as guys like Higgins and Claypool.

Sure there are some concerns about the offense but he may have a 1,000yd rookie season in the same offense everyone is so worried about and his breakout game last week came while Deebo was playing.
(1) Claypool is on pace for 16 TDs. That's not comparable production to Aiyuk (although it's also not sustainable).
(2) Higgins has been more consistent (5 straight double digit games) and has a clearer path to be his team's locked in #2 passing option with AJG at 32 (vs Kittle at 27 and Deebo at 24), plus he's tied to Burrow.

I do agree though, that Aiyuk should be more consistently ranked ahead of Shenault and Ruggs (plus Akers and probably Burrow). I think he should be 12 or 13 in the class right now (depending on where you put Herbert).

Shows a lot of why I loved him at Arizona St - his ability to get in and out of breaks without losing any speed is second to none.

Really think he could be the best WR in this class.

I took him at 16, so I am happy to see a little love for him. He has the advantage of Deebo sitting out the next few weeks too, so I'm not sure he will be overlooked too much longer. This 2020 class is strong.

That’s what jumped out to me as well. Somewhat related, but his ability to maintain speed at the catch point and turn upfield without losing speed was eye popping.
Team 1, 10-team 0.5-PPR

Am I missing something? Through 7 weeks he has a 20/280/1 stat line, which project to more like 50/700/3. Maybe counting rushing yards and TDs in this?

This - he's only played 6 games. I only factored in games that each rookie WR played in.

Over 6 games he has - 20 catches, 349 total yards, and 3 total TDs.

Averages out to around 3.33/58/0.5 per game.

Aiyuk now on pace for 98 targets, 64/1005/9 over 16 games.

Ran a great route to get himself wide open for a TD

Did you see what they did to NE when they had Kittle, Deebo and Aiyuk? They didn't even have Mostert.

Well, in addition to all the other previous injuries, now they'll be without Kittle for probably the rest of the season, and with Mullens at QB for the foreseeable future. Will be interesting to see how Aiyuk does in this situation.

The Aiyuk owner in my league is naturally excited about the increased opportunity, though I have my doubts on consistent production. Even with Shanahan's gameplanning, the 49ers offense could be headed straight to the gutter at this point. Not that it should affect Aiyuk's dynasty/long-term outlook too much anyway, but it will be quite the test to watch unfold.

Other than one week where Mullens turned into a pumpkin, he's shown that he's a solid spot-starter.

But losing Kittle will definitely sting.
