How do I address getting another solid RB? Draft or Trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How do I address getting another solid RB? Draft or Trade?

Postby Jrblaha » Tue Feb 06, 2024 7:40 pm

Team is sig team. I feel pretty good with the squad except for RB outside of Gibby. I’ve got 1.2 1.5 and 1.11 this year and 2 1sts next year. Depth is listed in my signature. What RBs would you be looking to acquire and what would you move on my team or draft stock for another RB?

Projected starting lineup is:

QB: AR or Danny Dimes
RB: Gibby and Miller or Charb
WR: Chase, CD, and GW
Flexes: Tank Dell and whoever I take at 1.2
TE: Njoku
12 team. PPR. QB pass td = 6
Starters: QB(1) FLEX (RB/WR/TE)(2) RB(2) WR(3) TE(1)

QB: AR, DJones
RB: Gibby, Charb, KMiller, Akers
WR: Chase, Lamb, G Wilson, Tank Dell, Burks, Mimsy, Tutu, W Robinson, Tucker, Wicks, RBell
TE: DNjoku, Hunter Henry

Draft Picks: 2024: 1.2, 1.5, 1.11. 2025: 1st Round (2) 2nd Round (1), 2026: 1st Round (1) 2nd Round (2)

Unless they're cheap I'd be waiting until much closer to the season to add RBs. Injuries, drafting competition, FA- way too many landmines to make significant investments in Februaryy
12 tm/PPR/SF/TE+/Full IDP (start 11/11)/Contracts
QB- Kyler, TLaw Stafford
RB- Dowdle, Mitchell
WR- JJ, Lamb, ARSB, DJM, Kirk QJ
TE- Engram, Schultz
PK/CB-
DT- Wilkins, Vea
DE- Bosa, Young, Landry Ebukam
LB- Campbell,Speed, Mcfadden, Dodson
S-
1.02, 1.11
3 '25 1sts, 4 '26 1sts

I’m in a similar situation where I have Gibbs and not a ton else. I’m personally looking to acquire Monty, which is a move you could comfortably make now. He shouldn’t cost too much, provided a handcuff to Gibbs (and vice versa), and has standalone value (you could start him and Gibbs most weeks).

X2 - no reason to address this now and the class does not look great at RB. So the market for me, but much, much later in the offseason process.

Fair nuff, guess I’m just getting itchy and bored in the off-season already.

@babychalk what’s a fair offer for Monty?
