TE has been a major headache for me the last couple seasons, so I’m stoked to get this deal done.

I’m tempted to do one of these. TE has been my Achilles heel the last two seasons. Thoughts?

I can see Tee/1.07 but not the JSN/1.07. This is ONLY because it is TEP and non SF

I think Higgins is much safer overall, but JSN has the value more than likely based on offseason hope and hype, but he was not good his rookie year...

If the .5 is a big bump, I can see it based on the class and pick range prospects in a 1 QB not being great as of now.

A half point TEP does nothing for me. On top of that you already have Goedert and Pitts. I’d keep Higgins, JSN and the pick easily.

I'm taking Laporta on either deal. JSN isn't a difference maker in a 10 teamer, neither is Higgins. For the amount of reception Laporta can put up, that minor bonus absolutely means something. You have Chase, Lamb and Olave, who are all miles ahead of JSN, or Higgins.

JSN loses further value being 0.5 PPR. He's a low YPR guy that will need volume, he's much better for full PPR.

The 0.5 bonus for TE is bigger, because it's 0.5 for WR's, not 1.0. They get twice the value per reception as a WR, this is a much bigger deal than a 0.5 PPR bonus in a full PPR league.

I'd make that deal and look to move Pitts, once they get a QB upgrade and a coach, if his value improves.

1.7 if this is 1 QB, isn't that great a pick. Laporta is a stud. Studs win 10 team leagues, and he's not just a stud, he's a 22 year old stud. You'll have him in his prime for years and years.

I'm doing this deal. Whichever you don't move fits into your flex. If Pitts gains his rookie year form, he's flex worthy. Laporta really rounds out this team, adding a young stud at a valuable position, since TE's receptions count for double everybody else's. He catches 90 balls, that's an extra 45 points vs a WR who catches 90, that's not nothing.

I would instantly agree to sending JSN+1.07 for Laporta. In TEP that's a steal!

This is a fairly common sentiment in the forums and I don't get it. (Note: not singling you out @shortie).

Through week 17 (PPR w/ 0.5TEP):
In PPR the highest scoring TE was LaPorta at 225.4, this was on par with Nico Collins who was the WR#18.
In 0.5 TEP, the highest scoring TE was Hockensen at 267.5, right behind DJ Moore who was WR#8 (a big boost in TE value)
As well, LaPorta scored an additional 40 points in 0.5 TEP which is 2.35 PPG (again a big boost)
In PPR there were three TEs inside the top-24 "receivers" and none better than #18
In 0.5 TEP there were six TEs inside the top-24 "receivers" and three inside the top-12

IMO a 0.5 TEP is a big deal. What it does is elevate TEs in to a legit conversation to be used in the flex. If the best TE in FF is about the same as Nico Collins I'm probably not thrilled to put the second best TE on my team in to the flex.

However if six TEs are top-24 (and eight top-32) I might well want to use a TE in the flex. This is important for trades (like this one). Flowers and Addison were outscored by eight TEs in 0.5 TEP (and likely more in the OPs league). It sort of doesn't matter that he has Goedert/Pitts because another productive TE is better than the WRs under consideration in this trade.

This still feels a bit pricey on paper, but productive fantasy TE's are always pricey to land because there are just not many to go around. JSN still holds value and hope, but his rookie year was not good. That was predictable based on depth chart but still...LaPorta showed he can be elite. JSN did not. Overall, I see no issue with this deal despite it feeling pricey. Congrats on getting your guy early in the offseason.

As I said earlier, a half point extra for a TE is a bigger deal when it's only HALF PPR for the rest of the league, it's not a full PPR league.

Good for you. I like it. Half PPR, and 10 teamer, I can't see JSN being a difference maker.

With Laporta at 1 PPR, and JSN at half, and that 1.07 being the 6th best WR in this class, I think you've made your team better.
