A sneaky good 2:1 deal there. Kmet is way underrated
Are you saying this as a diehard Bears fan or objectively speaking?

I know KTC isn't the one and only truth, however still a fine source for consensus thinking.
Currently Kmet is valued at the same level as Calvin Ridley, Chubb, Mixon, Diontae Johnson. Next TEs above is Kittle, Njoku, Ferguson. Seems about right for me.

For the trade, it seems fine to me.
Trying to be objective here only because being a bears fan, I have watched him a lot and he has been a solid piece to the passing game. He gets open and helps to extend drives. I don’t think I would seen this without actually watching
So hard (for me at least) to evaluate trades in non-PPR. I think one has to live in that to really appreciate the player values.

But this seems pretty close to a free Kmet. While the hype is definitely higher on Dell than DJM, I'm not sure they are all that different practically speaking. I have a suspicion that this was a good trade for both teams - the Kmet manager probably has other viable TEs and TE is kind of diminished in this format anyway.

I agree with this. I like Kmet a lot, but do have some concerns. Mostly that they will draft another alpha WR1 and then he is relegated to the 3rd receiving option on a team with either Justin Fields or a rookie question mark at QB.

I haven’t seen enough Bears to know. I’m just to the ‘way underrated’ part. He is ranked TE11 sans Bowers. If that is way underrated, what is the appropriate rank then?

Kmet is tough. So inconsistent. I own a few shares, and while the end-of-the-year totals were good (TE7 in my 1 ppr leagues) you have to ride the wave. Here are his weekly totals:

Doesn't that sum up just about every TE? Even Kittle had 2 games with 1 catch (1yard, 9 yards) But I guess you feel better about starting him due to the name.

I was looking at that. Kmet averaged about 11 points per week. Is that enough? The best TE averaged 14. Even LaPorta and Kelce had off games/weeks. The TE landscape is a bit rough, you're not wrong. I may have to start Kmet more often next year, whether we have Fields or Williams. I had him on the bench behind Kelce in one league, but started him in another where my other TEs were Likely, Kraft, and Conklin (over the year).

Wasn't me, but
12tm SF PPR
Give: Purdy, Higgins
Get: Fields, 1.11, Mingo

The sad part is I had just offered him a mid 1st and mid 2nd for Purdy the day before. Guess he really wanted to get Tee Higgins off his roster.

Jesus what a stupid trade.

I’ll take Purdy over Fields and I’ll take Tee easily over the 1.11 and Mingo.

Agree. And I'm a Bears fan. We don't even know where Fields will BE next year.
