Is it worth dropping from 1.3 to 1.4

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is it worth dropping from 1.3 to 1.4

Postby QueenCity25 » Tue Dec 26, 2023 11:18 am

Currently own 1.1 and 1.3 upcoming this year.

Owner of 1.4 has been on me trying to move up to 1.3 to secure whatever QB is left over.

He has offered 1.4 and TJ Hockenson or Jamo

I’m leaning towards Caleb or MHJr at 1.1

Is it worth dropping out of the QB race if I elect MHjr at 1?

So which package looks better ( Marvin and Caleb/Drake)

Or

Caleb, Napiers, TJ Hockenson
SUPERFLEX

QB: Tua, AR, Geoff, Bryce Young
RB: CMC, ETN, AK,J Williams, Elijah Mitchell, Zamir White, Roschon Johnson
WR: DK, DeVonta Smith, Tee Higgins George Pickens, E Moore, AT Perry
TE: Godert, Pitts, Chig

I think the value in the Hockenson deal is there, but why make this move now? The value of the pick will only go up with rookie hype.

Or get greedy and move from 1.01 to 1.02 and 1.03 to 1.04, you get a QB+MHJ/Nabers either way and tack on a nice chunk of value as well

10 man SF

1.2 is not willing to move.

Gator I do agree, just looking to see if that’s an offer that we should stay on. I like his offer for the fact I’d only drop back one spot.

I'd move from 1.03 to 1.04

Go MHJ at 1.01 and then pick whoever you want at 1.04 either they will overvalue QBs or you can grab a good QB prospect at 4.

If you can get hock wonderful, if you get jamo I'm probably okay with that, though I think the value difference between hock and jamo is huge (though maybe not with torn ACL for hock).

Appreciate the insight

The ACL news may help me get more out of it now.

He owns 1.8 and 1.9 as well

But it does seem like the board agrees dropping back may not be a big issue.

With my investment in AR I was leaning towards MH at 1.1

+1 this idea. You control the flow of the next draft. Consider any and all ways to maximize what you want. Good luck!

With recent injury news, I'm definitely not making this deal now . . . would press for more, or wait until draft time to move back.
