There is no longer an option to jump back to the sub-forum you are currently in replying to posts now, just to jump all the way back to "board index" instead of "lineup advice " for example. Why is that?

That's one of the unfortunate side effects I mentioned in my long post. The Breadcrumbs, those links to the folders at the top of the page that you are referring to, those are a consequence of the theme for this forum not working 100% on the latest version of php. I'll be addressing that in the next few days. Hang in there.

How do I alert the site admins that the update to the website last night broke the “breadcrumb” feature in this board?

Before last night’s update there was a trail of breadcrumbs you could follow to jump back and forth through the folder structure of the sub and now it’s just forward slashes missing the links to the folder structure.

So sorry guys, no update yet. Had a series of other fires pop up, working on those, but will for sure be returning to the breadcrumbs issue. Agree, it's a PITA they do not work, and they will be addressed!
