Hockenson or Pick

Postby CGW » Tue Nov 14, 2023 8:36 am

12TM SF PPR
QB | Murray, Young, AOC
RB | Achane, Charbonnet, Miller, Bigsby
WR | Olave, Wilson, Flowers, Watson, M Wilson, Mingo
TE | Hockenson, Kincaid, Otton
2024 | 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd
2025 | 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd

At risk of losing the 1.01 all of a sudden in this league, so looking to make a couple more moves. There is a team in 6th that has no TE. He's a PIA to work with as his valuations are terrible, but he owns a mid 1st that I'd be after. The 1st is from a team that is in 8th and likely to end outside the playoffs. He's already stated he won't trade the first for Kincaid, but is it worth offering Hockenson for it?

Thoughts?

If you are fully rebuilding or looking a year or two out, I could see making the deal with having Kincaid to build your TE room around, but I would ask for a bit more back. A decent upside young asset on top maybe? Hockenson is in the top end tier of TE's and with that comes inflated value.

I'd want more for Hock. I do think it's a good time to sell, I sold earlier this year, wish I'd done it now. His massive target share directly coincides with JJ getting hurt. Expect his targets to drop once JJ returns, though he will still produce well, I think this is the time to sell, but only if you get a haul.

His career targets per game are 6.9.

The last 5 games without JJ (which are included in that total above) are 11.2
