Re: Derrick Henry
No one voting for Henry in PHI?
Re: Derrick Henry
Traded a 2025 2nd and 3rd for him to make a push. Hope he ends up somewhere good...because this Tennessee team sucks.

I have too many Swift shares for you to be putting bleep like this into the atmosphere, pal
Re: Derrick Henry
It'll be the unpredictable and out of nowhere Rams
Re: Derrick Henry
Not a bad call actually. They were reportedly "right there" with San Fran in the CMC bidding last year.
Which, y'know - made no sense then, makes no sense now - but you've gotta respect their commitment to the bit.

Purple People Eaters love running the ball. Mattison is a good backup, but can’t carry the load of a weekly starter. Hot take Vikings trade for him.

Not expected to be moved before the deadline according to Schefter
Re: Derrick Henry
Nooooo. Just paid a 2nd+3rd for him. Was really hoping he could land on a better offense and propel my team to a championship.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 6:48 am Not expected to be moved before the deadline according to Schefter
Or maybe this is one of those things where they say "we are absolutely not even considering moving him" as they help him pack his bags and buy his airline ticket out of town.
Re: Derrick Henry
They've walked that stance back, apparently it was a "negotiating tactic" according to Glazer.CGW wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 7:28 amNooooo. Just paid a 2nd+3rd for him. Love that they'll trade an in-his-prime age 24 AJ Brown but when it comes to trading a 29 year old RB they suddenly have a problem
Re: Derrick Henry
In fairness to the Titans, that AJB move was a different GM and cost him his job. Henry is probably hard to move on his current contract and his '23 production.mild wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 12:22 pmThey've walked that stance back, apparently it was a "negotiating tactic" according to Glazer.CGW wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 7:28 amNooooo. Re: Derrick Henry
They didn't blink trading Kevin Byard last week. Why get sentimental now?
They could have re-structured his contract to ease the money side, but that deadline (today) has now passed.
And he wasn't going to be hard to move:

Sadly, our King will be staying put on this trash-tastic 3-4 Titans team. Alas.Per sources, the #Ravens and Titans had a deal in place for Henry.
That deal was vetoed by the Titans owner.
#RavensFlock
Would have been fun to see him on a contender.

Not a very reliable source for NFL trade rumours. It would be cool to see DH in Baltimore, but I don't believe that source.

Sounds like a Titans thing to do. Their team is competitive and Henry is the face of the team. They don't want to just give him up.mild wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 7:46 pmThey didn't blink trading Kevin Byard last week. Why get sentimental now?

Re: Derrick Henry
As we head into the off-season, where are we hoping Henry ends up? He won't be a sexy dynasty asset, but he could still provide a nice 1 - 2 years of solid production, somewhat dependent on where he ends up in Free Agency.
Despite his age 29-season and a career worst YPC mark on a horrendous team, Henry still performed pretty well in a number of key advanced statistics: #24th in juke rake; #10th in evaded tackles; and #9th in yards created.
So where do you think he ends up, and where would that rank for short-term production next year?
Personally, I'd LOVE to see him take the Gus Edwards role in Baltimore - if Edwards can tally nearly 1,000 yards and 13 TDs, imagine what Henry can do. My short-list of runner-ups would include Dallas (give him the '21 & '22 Zeke roles), Houston (would thrive in the redzone with Stroud), and Philadelphia (tush-push replacement?). I think Henry can still put up 1,200+ yards and 10+ TDs in any of these offenses, which would make him a strong RB #2 for 2024.
