Why did I trade Achane?! - * venting post *

This WAS the only freaking league I owned Achane in and one of the ONLY trades I didn't post up here to DLF get an opinion on. SO DUMB. In my defense, I made this trade before Achane got his first touch in the NFL, he had hurt his shoulder, Mostert popping off, he is tiny....so I was like man there is no way this guy lasts in the NFL. Fastforward and my team would be looking nasty with Achane andKenneth walker as my RB1 and 2. Now I have Walker and fricken AJ Dillon.

This trade might look good for me next year when ATL coaching staff has changed and new QB (hopefully) but my goodness does it hurt rn. Why. Why. Whyyy.

All you can do is move forward. The trade is done an no one could have guessed Achane would explode onto the scene like he has. I don't even know what to say about Pitts anymore...the most overhyped and valued asset in dynasty history possibly? Hopefully things get better for him, but who knows.

In my main league, I got caught up in the Lance offseason hype a couple years back and moved Mahomes and Mike Williams for Trey Lance, J.K. Dobbins and a 1st in a 1 QB league. I am an out and out contender and this one aged so, so poorly. So I feel your pain. This is only one of the many awful trades I have made in my dynasty decade +. You are not alone.

I’ll be honest, I’ve had more than a few trades like this and it always stings a bit. You’ll win big on some and lose big on others, all you can do is keep grinding like you said! Oh yeah, and don’t forget to have fun in the process!

Focus on what you are trying to accomplish and trade to that goal. Rebuilding, contending. Youth, production. You can't trade in hindsight and you won't win them all.

When it comes to player values, past performances, owner tendencies, etc., I have the memory of an elephant.
When it comes to trades I’ve made, I have the memory of a goldfish. I make way too many to linger on one bad trade. Also, a bad trade today could be a good trade tomorrow, a bad trade again next month, and a good trade again next year.

You can only hope Arthur Smith gets fired or Pitts leaves Atlanta since they do not use him.
