Minshew for a 3rd?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Minshew for a 3rd?

Postby Dlo21 » Sat Sep 23, 2023 3:08 pm

Team sig 2

AR owner wants minshew and has been bugging me since he drafted AR.

Do I just take the 3rd or keep making him sweat

If AR continues to take those big hits he could be injured often which would force his manger to offer more.

It's really no sweat off my back to keep
Minshew or not. I had him just cuz I seen potential but now he kinda seems like a career backup

Personally, I want more than a 3rd, but I know anything more than that is probably a pipe dream. If you have the roster space, I’d just hold. Or see if you can do Minshew, 3rd, fluff for a 2nd, just to test the waters. Or try a bigger deal if he has another player you want and use Minshew as the cherry on top to push him over the edge.

I could see pushing for a 2nd with Richardson already injured and based on his play style but anything more is a huge/unrealistic ask.

I get holding and making him sweat, but you don't need him, why not just trade him for a 3rd? Is this a Superflex league?

If the AR owner is competitive, I could see the case for pushing for a late 2nd for Minshew+. But could also see the case for just cashing out. You will likely never get more than a 2nd straight up for him, even if he somehow gets a starting gig somewhere. So try moving Minshew for a pick upgrade, but if it doesn’t work, just ship him out for the 3rd and add someone else to your bench.

I like this response. So this got me thinking I should send a 3rd + minshew for a second? His team is 0-2 and I'm a contender so should be a mid 2nd and the 3rd will be late unless something crazy happens.
