Puka Nacua

Peppered with targets in week 1 with Kupp out. He did not disappoint. I know a few guys were hyping him up. I grabbed him in the leagues I could…….

So the question is…

Is he a hold or sell at this point? Flash in the pan or is his production sustainable? And what return would it take to pry him away?

I would sell. He looks great but he is a replacement talent I think. Any 1st, automatic for me. A 2nd... I want a little more.

So a hold then...

I'm holding. I like him. Got him either late 4th in draft or off the WW.

Exactly what I'm thinking.

It was a great imitation of how they use Kupp. So that's pretty encouraging. If Stafford is dealing like he did yesterday, someone is going to benefit big. It's no guarantee either that Kupp will be able to recover to form from a significant hamstring injury either.

I think he's a hold right now. They have nothing on their depth chart and he's going to get plenty of opportunities.

I’d sell for a second right now, you’re not getting more than that imo, and that’s a good flip.

I say this guy is a hold, on talk radio, one FF guy said Puca is his ARSB this year. All his buddy called him nuts but I snagged him up everywhere I could with league mates going who?

Seems like he’s the #1 WW guy now!

Easy hold. Everyone will want to buy low relative to the value he was acquired for. After OTAs, I paid a 3rd for him (slight overpay), but I had high expectations. In another league I got him off waivers. But I wouldn't let him go for anything less than a 1st. He is productive in that offense, and the coaching staff likes him alot, as well as Kupp. I see a bright future for the kid. Hold unless it's a 24 1st.

Anyone have any trades talks regarding him? I know no leagues will let you move him until after tonight’s games…but anyone have anything in the works?

I don’t think he’s a functional outside receiver and I don’t think Kupp is going to stop playing the slot on three wide sets. I wouldn’t call him a flash in the pan. You had to hold Edelman a long time waiting for them to move Welker, but it sure was nice when it finally happened. I think Nacua can be a solid or better slot guy, he just needs opportunity.

It was an impressive first game but let’s play a name game. Would you take Puka over?

Marvin Mims
Rachaad White
Isiah Pacheco
Mike Williams
Elijah Moore
Tank Bigsby

I have carefully placed a few of these names since it’s a mixture of WR rookies and veterans and RBs. Seems like I would take him over all of them - maybe not Bigsby.

I think you need to add Mike Evans and a 2nd on that list.

According to JJ Zachariason, Puka ran 74% of his routes in a perimeter role. I don’t know the production split, but that’s an encouraging sign for continued viability post Kupp’s return.
