Are any of these LBs dead weight?

I ended up with too many LBs on my squad. I don't need to cut anyone now, but are any of these guys dead weight? Start 3 + normally use an LB in the def flex, tackle heavy scoring.

Current starters
Shaquille Leonard (likely to miss week 1)
Fred Warner
Tremaine Edmunds
Christian Harris

Bench
Willie Gay Jr.
Ernest Jones
Jack Sanborn
Trenton Simpson
Dorian Williams
Divine Deablo (listed as both LB and DB)

Side note, start Deablo over Chinn as a DB since Chinn might not play a full time role? Got John Johnson (Rams) as my other starting DB

Those are solid names and you can start 4 in a tackle heavy league? You answered your own question.

Dorian Williams and Willie Gay are worth the least, but all of those guys are rostered in all the leagues I’m in

Bolton is the man for sure but Gay is starting. Any concerns about Chenal or Tranquill? I think Spagnola will rotate them in a lot.

Williams could be interesting by week 8 on. Bernard is injured, Dodson is Dodson and Kirksey must be 40 by now.

Do we know for sure that Gay will be starting? Given the fact that he wasn’t close to a full time guy last year, I can’t imagine his playing time will go up when they’ve added an ILB in Tranquill, and Chenal (FWIW) has a year of experience. I absolutely don’t know, just saying I think it’s murky.

Thanks for the responses, IDP always has a lot of moves to make after the first couple of games and we see what the usage breakdown is.

I would have put Sanborn down at lowest with the bears spending all the money in the world to ensure he isn't a starter again but would have those 2 next

Oops haha I totally missed him there! Yes, definitely Sanborn worth the least.

Your best LB'er here is Ernest Jones. He shouldn't be on your bench.

Your best players from best to worst is:

Jones
Leonard (when healthy, which is seemingly never)
Deabloe
Edmunds
Warner
Harris
Gay
Williams
Simpson
Sanborn

And yes, Deablo is a much better play over Chinn as a DB. Chinn isn't a full time player this year in the new scheme.

Sanborn is still getting snaps and he’s an injury away from LB2 status.

While he should be rostered, I think Willie Gay is a bit toasted at this point. Only pulling like 60% snaps on the chiefs, wont get extended, headcase.

Yeah, I already dropped Sanborn and plan to drop Gay and I think Christian Harris. I did grab Bernard from BUF, he has put up stats the first 2 weeks while playing 90% of snaps.

For DB, I dropped J Johnson and looking to add D hill from CIN. T Brown from SEA and D Lenoir from SF are also on waivers. I would hate to drop Chinn but if he isn't going to be close to full time, DB is easy to fill.

Well it’s Leo time. Even before this week he was getting a bunch of snaps and playing well. Looks like I dropped him prematurely :wall:

Shaquille Leonard already over the hill?
Maybe the injuries have caught up to him?
Franklin looks like the man on that defense.

Been that way since last year sadly.
