Looking for an upside young back for my final practice squad spot. The choice is between these two. I am thinking 2024 and beyond. State your reasons.

Tucker for me. I'd take the guy that has yet to look mediocre over the one who already has. Spiller was just added off the WW in my 12-team/24-spot league and I expect he hits the WW again before too long.

Tucker easily for me too. Spiller is very slow for a RB. He has not even secured the RB2 role in SD. Tucker would have been drafted, who knows what round based on this years surprise fallers, which was just about everybody. He is explosive and has little competition, imo, to a starting role in Tampa as R. White's per touch production is subpar.

I picked him up off waiivers right after i posted this in case someone in my league saw this and cut DJ Chark instead. Going to keep both and see what happens. Also going to cut Wan'Dale once he comes off IR this week if he is activiated for his game. It is easier to find a developmental WR than a RB especially one with Tucker upside and I am still holding out hope that Spiller might take over the #2 spot after Ekeler by mid season.

Tucker is good enough to force a true commitee with White and eventually take over the #1 role if White is injured or gets outplayed. If it wasn't for the medical stuff he would have been a day 2 pick in the draft.

Tucker for me as well. He is the safer of the two at this point and has the RB2 spot locked down for Tampa.

I think Tucker is the choice here. Spiller hasn't shown much in a few years, Ekeler is at the end of his deal and I'm assuming they draft a new rb in 24', sign a fa or Ekeler resigns to a short deal.

Really hoping that Spiller gets it together though. I spent the 14th overall pick on him last year and passed on a chance of drafting Racaaad White or Christian Watson who were both available and on the board. He was a much younger prospect by 2 years than both of those guys and i knew Eckeler contract was going to be up this year. Both Eckeler and Joshua Kelley are in the final year of their deals so if Spiller shows anything the job could still be his next year if he beats out what ever competition they will bring in if it is not a high draft pick back or one of the really good free agent backs like Taylor or Jacobs or Barkley
