Superficially, Dotson and Addison seem similar to me as slight WRs who can play the position. They can be effective and productive (like Dotson showed last year)but I don't see them as a WR1 either for the NFL or fantasy.
Are they as close as they seem, or is there some fundamental difference in skill or ability? Are

Re: J Addison vs J Dotson
Addison is a better overall prospect for me. Both priject as WR2s on their team in the short term.
Re: J Addison vs J Dotson
Addison is a better prospect and I didnt have a 1st round grade on Dotson either.
Addison broke out as a freshman and dominated his SO year with 100/1500. It took Addison until his Jr year to break out and he did not declare until after his 4th year.
Dotson is a bit more athletic, but Addison wins with better routes.
Their situations are both as WR2s on their NFL teams, but I think Addison has a better shot at hitting WR2 #s in fantasy, just maybe not this year as he's a rookie.

I thought Dotson was the better player, but like Addison, too. I was not surprised at all that Dotson went in round 1, I felt he was one of the best WR's in last years class, and I am a lot more confident in his play strength and contested catch ability than Addison, and he can also separate.

Relatively close, but I have Dotson over Addison as far as talent goes, though I do like Addison's QB better right now.
I am not sure that Cousins is still the QB in Minnesota for 2024 though.

Agreed, and the fact Cousins may be gone concerns me, too. Definitely the QB situation favours Addison for this year, but beyond that, who knows?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 1:43 pm Relatively close, but I have Dotson over Addison as far as talent goes, though I do like Addison's QB better right now.

Re: J Addison vs J Dotson
I can definitely see Addison's situation as being superior, but that's not the focus. Which WR is the superior player, based solely on their skills and abilities?
