Folks,
Curious to see how people are viewing 2024 first round rookie picks vs. selections in a "normal" 12-team SF start-up. Presumably if teams are trading them away, they are trying contend. So let's assume the rookie picks in question are likely from playoff teams.
What is a projected playoff team rookie pick worth in a straight trade for a 2023 start-up selection in SF?
TIA

If it’s a playoff team, I think the value is similar to round 8+ in startup

I’d probably just look at adp for your league settings and see where the 8th, 9th, 10th rookies in this years class are being draft and value them similarly.

I always love when others are trying to assess this. I think anything in the 7th is good and 8th is par. I don’t think the startup is a good place to judge where the 1st might end up, that’s hard enough already! I always assume mid.

Agreed. I think it's very hard. But if a team is trading away future rookie picks for additional start-up selections, they should be better (on average) in the near term.SoftwoodGrampian wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:45 am I always love when others are trying to assess this. All - Thanks for the advice - I think looking at where the mid to late first round rookies are going in start-ups is the best approach.
