How have I done?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How have I done?

Postby Dynastytrash » Sat May 06, 2023 2:27 pm

Team 1:

Just finished the draft. Made some trades to move some of my later round picks (and I'm not going to list all my picks right now, most will end up dropped or on other teams before the season starts).

Took Bijan at 1.01 (obviously).
Took Purdy at 3.06 ans Carr at 5.04.
Traded my 2025 1st and someone else's 2025 2nd (which I got for 3.08 and 3.09) for Dameon Pierce.
Traded a 2024 1st (early) and 2024 1st (mid/late) for London and Pacheco.

So starting lineup is:
Tua/Purdy/Carr
Bijan
Pierce
Pacheco/Davis
Aiyuk
London
Dart throw at TE but I did walk away with Musgrave

Still have 5 1sts next year and aiming to trade for another RB, WR, and TE.
Trying to take Davis plus a 1st for a WR upgrade.
Take a 1st for a better TE (hoping Hockenson).
Then take probably 2-3 1sts for a good RB. Just not sure how old of a RB I want to go. I might be able to get Jacobs. I'd like Etienne but not sure he's selling.

But so far, how am I doing?

This build still needs time but I think you made a couple risky deals so far. Trading a 1st and 2nd multiple years out for Pierce is a huge gamble. He was volume driven last year and they brought in Singletary to most likely be a RBBC. I think you could have landed Pierce much cheaper in season. London is solid but still has a bunch to prove, so I can see that deal going either way also with the other 1st and Pacheco involved. Early 1sts are always gold come draft time so we will see where the value is coming out of 2023. I don't think I would force any deals and would hold picks outside of a great offer. I am not trying to be harsh, but I don't think your team is ready to contend and looks like a middle of the pack team, so your picks could help you to keep building with youth.

Anytime you go all in on one draft class it’s risky. Good luck but next year will tell if you were successful or not
