Skip JSN at 1.03? *Draft complete*

*Update* JSN 1.03, Charb 1.06, Miller 2.03, Tank 2.06

I’m torn on what to do in this draft.
I have the 1.03, 1.06, 2.03 and 2.06.

Currently Rostered:
-Walker
-D.K.
-Etienne

The Dilemma:
Should I target any of Charb, JSN and Tank? Or do I HAVE to pass on these guys because of my team build? :wall:

You always take best player available if you are asking. Someday far, far down the road you might tweak that strategy but my experience has been if you are asking you go best player available.

I would in no way pass on a player just because I have his team mates already rostered.

You don’t want Julio because of Roddy?
You don’t want Chase because of Higgins?
You don’t want Jefferson because of Theilen?
You don’t want Davante because of Cobb?

Never pass on value b/c you have that position covered. JSN is the play. Charb is a late 1st. Tank can be had in the late 2nd.

In single quarterback 10 team leagues studs rule the day. I'd be taking the players that I thought had the highest upside of becoming elite contributors. JSN, Flowers, Kincaid etc. Charbs is on that list for me, but Tank is definitely not. But nothing says you have either target or pass over them. Just take your BPA each time you're OTC.

I agree with all your replies, but it’s a little unsettling when you factor in the other players on my roster. I have 3 bengals, 3 Seahawks (5 if I got JSN and Charb) and presumably the JAX backfield if I got Tank. Is it bad strategy to have some much invested in these offenses?

I'm fine taking Addison over JSN, but that's it.
Bijan

Gibbs

JSN/Addison

Unless trading is impossible in your league. No. Draft value and trade later for something that fits better if you want. And even then, the NFL changes so fast, you’re probably better off still just drafting value anyway.

Ya I don’t worry about it. If anything think of it as strong handcuffs. Players get hurt are of the time and you will instantly have their handcuff.

If you don’t like the BPA, you should see if anybody wants to trade up

I would not be concerned with having players on the same team. NFL changes quick. You can trade. Injuries happen. Just get whoever you believe are the best players.

Screw it, if I land JSN, Charb, Chase brown, and Charlie Jones I’m changing my team name to “Cincinnati Seahawks”

There are plenty of situations where having both guys on the same team both works and doesn't, otherwise it wouldn't be a question. Easy to remember the top tier hits, that's all. To say "always" take the best guy and ignore the team situation and your roster situation sounds nonsensical.

If you view other WRs about the same as JSN, go with your guy. The NFL hits and misses, so will you!

I Agree you should try not to let team roster of Multiple players from the same team dictate who you choice. A true stud player will rise to the top. I definitely would not pass on JSN but I understand being hesitant to take Charbs. I personally would still take Charbs unless there is another player available that has similar value and you like. I am currently not a big Tank fan and believe there should be better options when that time comes.

x2 - the NFL changes so fast. No need to worry about the team. JSN is 100% the pick or trade out. If you prefer Addison, trade out to maximize your value.

I think all honest questions deserve answers but that doesn’t imply that all questions raise legitimate concerns.
