Big 1.01 Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Feels like a win to me. With a small-ish starting lineup and only 12 teams, depth is less important and studs rule the day. You add potential megastud in Bijan to an already "ready to compete" roster. Your team should easily be in the playoff mix. Too bad you lost Watson though... would have much rather seen you move Lance but I doubt that was an option. Even in 1 QB, I could see Watson being a better fantasy player than Herbert so it would have been nice to have the option but not a huge deal I don't think.

that's an interesting take. i get it he didn't play for two seasons, but he didn't look like anything close to what herbert could do on a mediocre day.

as for the trade, not exactly the trade you make when wanting to "get younger", but who cares, winning is better and the price was good.

Hopefully all the 1sts end up late as projected. Moving Watson means very little in a 1 QB. If Robinson hits, you will not be able to land him for this next offseason. Certainly does not help you get younger overall though, so hopefully you win the title.

I'm with BigBawseRoss.

If your goal is to turn your older team younger, then you traded away the ammo (the 2024 1sts) you need to do it. You know, things like Hill + 1st for Lamb, etc. (pick your players; just an example).

That being said, if it's a win-now move, then I'd sign off it (a little more reluctantly than those above, though, because I'm not sure you have the depth to withstand a typical season and you don't have the 1sts to bolster your run).

In the end, I'm mostly a little confused about this trade given your goal of trading aging players for younger ones.

to get younger and reload the picks you could try stuff like moving hill or adams for unproven young wrs and firsts or guys that are normally good but are struggling and/or their situation worries owners.

i moved several Hill shares last year early on for DK plus a first because owners were very afraid of geno at qb and wanted an elite wr on their win now team. but this year you could try offering for jamo, christian watson maybe even if love worries folks, any of the rookie wrs before they show anything, etc)

Agreed. Replace some draft capital in the deal with the RB elders your goal is to eject.
