Cost to go from 1.02 to 1.01?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cost to go from 1.02 to 1.01?

Postby bigbuck22 » Sun Feb 12, 2023 9:40 pm

The guy with the 1.01 (& 1.03) desperately needs QB. His top option in a 12T SF is Baker. I need RB and hold the 1.02 (& 1.04).

What am I looking at paying to move from 2 to 1?

What does your build look like? Do you have any mid tier younger QBs? The 1.01 is a major asset this year but with having the 1.02, you should have options to move up.

Based on your build, it may be a bit tougher than I thought. It may cost a WR that is a bit steep to make the jump based on the 1.01 value this year.

If I was the holder of the 1.01 I'd start with the 1.02 and 1.04 and a little more on top.

Otherwise I'd just sell the 1.01 (and add if needed) for a young talented QB.

I'm not willing to give that much up. It's bad process when you can buy a different young RB for less and he'll produce pretty much in line with BR.

Yeah, I've thought about making it a bigger deal and trying to get B Hall as well.

The only pieces this team has are Hall, Pitts, Burks, Wandale. The rest arguably not worth a roster spot. He does have 1.01, 1.03, 1.08, 1.10, 2.01, 2.02

I think I'm with you here. Why not just call his bluff? Meaning...let him grab RB1 and QB2 with his picks. Then at 1.02 and 1.04 you grab QB1 and RB2. Who blinks first? I think your team is still better than his. I wouldn't want the other team to walk away with QB1, QB2, and RB2. That is too much for BR in my humble opinion.

Given the 1.01 owner is in a pinch, why give up anything? FWIW - I think you need a QB as well so I'd stand pat.

I'd at least have a conversation. Say you know he needs QB and you need RB, what would it take to swap? Add Jimmy G. Hell, if it got the deal done, I'd add Tua OR Watson.

Otherwise, stay and take what you need.

If he goes QB you run up Bijan. If he goes Bijan you can take a QB if you want them, or go Gibbs. At 1.04 you can take whoever is left out of Bijan, Gibbs, Stroud, Young OR go WR. IDK. See what his price is. I'd give up a lot to get Bijan if I were you. I might even do the 1.02 and the 1.04.

1.02 + 1.04 should get you the 1.01, and maybe a 2nd rounder back in return

Never hurts to ask. The question is really this—

Do you want Bijan or Gibbs/QB/WR? Personally, I'd probably be okay with Gibbs/QB or Gibbs/JSN. But that's me.
