Diontae Trade (Poll)

Postby PhillySpecial » Fri Feb 10, 2023 7:13 am

Diontae seems like the popular ‘buy low’ this offseason. I have a stacked WR room but would love to add another youngish WR with Diontae.

I feel Mike Williams will have another good season and Keenan may be gone, but his body type and game style don’t age well.
10 Team. SF PPR. 25 player roster. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 Flex, 1 SF, 1D
QB - Jalen Hurts. Dak Prescott. Justin Herbert. Geno Smith.
RB - Saquon Barkley. Austin Ekeler. Tony Pollard. Tyjae Sharp. Jaylen Warren. Jerome Ford. Khalil Herbert.
WR - AJ Brown. Amon Ra St Brown. DJ Moore. Chris Godwin. Keenan Allen. Amari Cooper. Curtis Samuel. Adam Thielen.
TE - Evan Engram. Dallas Goedert. Darren Waller.

2024, 2025, 2026 - no firsts, no seconds, numerous 3rds, 4ths, 5ths.

Market value is with Johnson. I prefer Williams based on his QB but Williams does not seem to have the value he maybe should. It may be overthinking it, but I would not include Metchie.

Another option is to hold Williams and if Allen moves on, he may see a positive value spike. This deal is not a must accept for me.

I am with Gator here. Both are good WR. Diontae 2 years younger. Both uncertain futures. Both teams will likely add WR.

I don't see a reason to make this trade really. With it being 10 teams and you having better WR, giving up Metchie and the earlier pick doesn't make much sense to me

i dont feel like this is the buy low you are looking for. Not because of Mike Williams, who actually plays on par scoring wise with Diontae, some might even argue he's the better WR barring injury. No, for me, metchie is decider here. I believe Metchie is a very underrated WR who is overshadowed atm by his condition which he beat or treated as well as anyone could have in his situation. He might become a decent dynasty WR with the texans who i think are in an uprise with their new HC and potential new QB in Young, who we know played with Metchie.

The Chargers are seriously over the cap, and they will first need to cut people before adding anyone. It's still very possible Keenan leaves as a cap casualty. Even if they bring in a rookie, Williams should dominate targets (as long as he's healthy).

I agree with Jigga that in a 10-team league, none of these guys are difference makers true contenders - and going from one to the other isn't going to change the fortunes of either fantasy team. I wouldn't spend much time contemplating this trade possibility. Make the trade, or don't make the trade, but it won't affect your team either way.

This is a fair point. Williams could see an uptick in targets when KA leaves, but I have a hard time thinking they don't add a legit WR alongside him.

I could see Diontae taking a step up from last year too though. Main point was, that they're pretty much even and not worth going from one to the other.
