2023 Bad Trade Offers

This is always one of my favourite threads. I got a DM from a leaguemate in a 14 team SF asking about my QBs and saw an old offer of his from last season (~ 3 months ago) that reminded me about this thread. Since I didn't see one for 2023, I'll start it but with the old offer. Hopefully, I won't have too many submissions but I'm not holding my breath.

lol it's an offer that expires. You'll get a message that says:

"______ sent you an exploding trade offer! This offer self-destructs in 2 days" (or whatever they set the timer for).
Meant to incentivize the recipient to act quickly. That tactic doesn't work for dynasty trades since most owners want to win the deal lol.

It's like a supermarket telling me there's a sale on frozen broccoli and when I get there it's $30/bag

Lol that makes sense. I do wish MFL had two similar things-
1- send recipient a reminder email when the offer will expire in 24 hours (offers an usually valid 7 days)
2- send the sender an email when the offer expires

Always look at those supposed "sale" prices. Sometimes, the a$$hat store is trying to make the 15 cent discount mean something lol.

I myself am actually guilty of sending a bad offer for Jefferson recently.

An owner in one of our leagues is loaded a WR (even without Jefferson) and has been in search of a RB for a long time. I offered the 1.01 straight up. He said he'd have to think it over and get back to me, so I thought we were close. But he countered a day later with: 1.01 + London + Russ for JJ
