Misery loves company! What lineup decisions cost you a finals berth?

Ended up having a great semi-finals week going 12-6 but had a legit shot at 15-3 if not for some bad luck and bad lineup decisions. Fantasy football is much like blackjack...I tend to forget big hands I've won but can always remember when a dealer draws out a 6 card 21! In that vein lets commiserate about lineup decisions that cost us a finals berth!

Here are mine:
1) Went into MNF down almost 30 with Ekeler and MW vs Herbert...didn't even watch this game and chalked it up as a loss. Decided to take a quick look and realized due to Ekeler's 2 TDs I actually only lost by 1.6 points. I decided to play Fields since I was a big dog in the game instead of playing Dak or Geno. Also played Evans over DJM. Even after those bad lineup decisions I still would have won if Hopkins scored 3 points instead of 1.4 ugh.
2) Lost in my Mastodons league by 1.35 after Ekeler scored his 2nd TD (though that TD got me into another final so it wasn't all bad). I had gone back and forth all week on DKM, Keenan or Zeke all week. Since it was NON PPR I dropped Keenan out of the discussion. Since DKM had a good matchup and I was already starting Pollard I went with DKM. He was one catch away from a bonus which would have won me the game. Had I played Zeke or Keenan I would have won. Hell, had Adams and Diggs combined for 5.50 total points I would have won! haha.
3) Lost in my Bombers league by 16.35 points. While there was some debate with people I asked who I should start in the 1st two leagues, there was consensus that Evans should be the start in this league. Not out of any confidence in Evans but how bad my other options (Foreman and Bam Knight) looked the week before (0.90 and 1.50 respectively). Foreman scored 25.50 points and would have gotten me into the finals.

The other three leagues I lost had no legit chance of winning.

Ok, make me feel better...who else made bad lineup decisions??

All I needed Sunday night was for Mike Evans and Deandre Hopkins to combine for more points than Hollywood Brown... Watching Brady underthrow Evans on multiple potential touchdown passes and then watching McSorley target Hopkins 10 times but only make 1 catchable pass was very painful. I could have played cooks instead of Zay Jones... I could have started the Charger D instead of the Titans... I could have made a number of lineup changes that would have got me the win but watching those two guys struggle was tough...

On the bright side I might get to update my signature to say "Back to Back to Back TO BACK 3rd place finishes"

In one league of mine I lost by 9 we play heavy IDP scoring I tried to swap Jaylon smith in for mychal Walker at 9:58 am and my league said it was too late to do so I lose by 11 and smith would’ve given me an extra 19 points over Walker.

#1 seed lost by 3 points. I had Evans, juju, and hopkins in my lineup. Also lost lockett.

Been playing FF for around 15 years and more and more I've come to realize that team health is like 90% of what makes a champion. If I hadn't lost breece hall, lockett and the entire QB for Arizona I'd be a shoe in. Oh well, that's how it goes. Ive been on the other side of the coin plenty of times too

In a random redraft league, I went into semifinals week with Hurts not starting. I had a choice between Minshew and Dalton. I chose Dalton. Season over.

Had Herbert, Adams, and Aaron Jones in my lineup. Lost by less than a point. Start anybody else basically instead of one of these three. I win.

Justin Herbert’s fumble. On that play, he was stood up for a bit and 9 out of 10 refs just blow it dead but not this time! (Fumbles are -2)

Last week I thought I was sitting pretty. I was #1 seed and they were #6. I was not sitting pretty... actually I was sitting very ugly.

My roster: Mahomes, Lawrence, Swift, Etienne, AJ Brown, Waddle, Chase, Nick Folk, Eagles D
Their roster: Purdy, Minshew, Fournette, Conner, Kirk, DK, Lamb, McPherson, Bengals D

Minshew Mania ran wild. Dak had himself a little Lamb and everywhere the football went that Lamb was sure to go.

I lost 109.23 - 88.87

Even if I dropped Folk for Eddie P, I still would've lost 109.23-101.87

Sad. Very sad. My team is IR'tastic: Jonathan Taylor, Dameon Pearce, Breece Hall, Elijah Mitchell. As well as Lamar and Deebo out.
