D Watson trade value sf 12 team

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

D Watson trade value sf 12 team

Postby papageo8 » Thu Dec 22, 2022 7:57 am

I need a qb for next year in a 12 team sf league.

I've 1.01, 1.03, 1.06 and I'm guessing 1.09 if things pan out. Multi future 1st and 2nds.

The only one that screams possible buy is Watson. He sits on a non contending team who is looking to sell out. Or I could target cousins as a cheaper option or Stafford (also non contender). Might be able to get goff or Jimmy G next year but not now as they sit on a contending team.

Question is what would you pay for watson
or any of the other qbs.

My qbs are Russell Wilson, hienikie, wentz, minshew, tyrod Taylor and aim to grab qb with 1.03.

Rbs let's just say I have none + bijan at 1.01

Wr jefferson, aiyuk, smith, dotson, e Moore, toney, rondale moore + one of the top wr in 2023 class

Te njoku and mcbride + darts + maybe the top te 2023

I finished 7th this year so got the 1.06.

I have the 4x 1sts and 4x 2nds this year
I have 5 1st and 3 2nds in 2024
2 1sts in 2025 and 3 2nds

So i am well placed to essentially buy a qb and an rb.

Most of the picks are at teams that went for it and failed and really have a murky future maybe bar 30% of them which are from good teams.

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman

I am not a Watson guy at all and would not have interest in landing him in general but if you can acquire low, I can see the fantasy value. I would start with a mid 1st + and see what your options are.

Recently had a trade go down in a mandatory 2QB league which was D. Smith for Watson straight up. Just adding this in here for context if desired by anyone.

RB: Saquon, Mixon, A. Jones Henderson, Mitchell, CEH, Wilson

I am very high on Smith but that is a really solid price in a 2 QB format.

Thanks for your advice guys. I would br super surprised if I can buy for the 1.06. Not that I'm saying he is worth more but I know the owner and he will want at least 2 1sts.

I maybe could test the water with 3.06, 2024 1st and 2025 2nd but I'm almost certain that gets rejected.

On that basis which qb would you target and at what prices, assuming Watson is unattainable at a good price point.

Zero chance I even consider either of the offers made in this thread. Instant rejects without thinking about it again.
He hasn't been great in his return but I think we all expected that. Any owner had originally waited for the '23 version. Two firsts would at least catch my attention.

Why not just take a QB with your 1.03 and 1.06 and move on...? I would not give more the my 1.06 for him, but I also was not impressed with what have seen so far...

TE: Hockenson, Ferguso, Dulcich, Musgrave

TEAM 3:

100% with the 1.03 but feel like I may be able to get the qb3 of the rookie class with the 1.08 so may just stick with that and have a go 2024.

It seems like the Watson is a player where thr sellers have one price and buyers have another. Exactly the sort of negotiation I avoid like the plague.

I'll target cousins instead for much cheaper or Brady for a year if he returns
