CJ2k benched?

Postby henry1jg » Sun Oct 30, 2011 1:30 pm

Chris Johnson rushed for just 34 yards on 14 carries and caught three passes for 17 yards in Week 8.
He appeared to be benched in the fourth quarter in favor of Javon Ringer, unofficially playing only two snaps in the frame. Ringer finished out the game as the Titans' clock-killing back. Johnson's yards-per-carry average for the season stands at 2.82. He won't be a fantasy option against the Bengals in Week 9, and very well may have lost his starting job.

Javon Ringer rushed 14 times for 60 yards and caught a team-high five passes for 42 yards as the Titans downed the Colts 27-10 in Week 8.
Ringer played virtually every fourth-quarter snap, with Chris Johnson seeing action only when Ringer needed a breather. It's quite possible that Ringer has passed Johnson on the depth chart. On Sunday, Ringer finished with 102 yards on 19 touches (5.37 average). Johnson managed a meager 51 yards on 17 touches (3.0 average), the vast majority coming in the first half. We'll be looking for hints from the coaching staff after this game, but Ringer should be a top fantasy football pickup heading to Week 9. The Titans face the Bengals next.

CJ got his money and if you watch him play it's obvious that's all he cares about...

Wow, he really is disappointing, does he have no pride? Guess he's in the Big Al club now, wish I hadn't traded for him

He is horrible, can't wait to bench his @ss next week. I don't even know his matchup, or my backups matchups, but I don't really care. He is sickening.

So glad I sold him last week, even if I didn't get a king's ransom in return.

What sucks is I dropped Javon Ringer in one of my leagues last week...

Hopefully this is just a ploy to light the competitive fire under Johnson's arse, if there's any left.

Coach Mike Munchak said in his post-game press conference Sunday that the Titans will distribute carries based on "flow of the game" going forward.
Needless to say, it's not an ideal fantasy situation. "I think every game will be different," Munchak said. "I just think it depends on the flow of the game, how it’s going. I don’t think we’re consciously trying to decide by series who’s playing." FB Ahmard Hall expects it to be a "hot-hand" situation. "There’s no controversy," Hall insisted. "Javon (Ringer) was making some good runs and they decided to go with Javon. ... It’s just whoever’s hot."

Definitely a good idea to take the ransom of a king or queen now, because soon you'll get jack.
