Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. Jameson Williams

I want to start this off by acknowledging that they’re on the same team and that this essentially becomes a ‘who is WR1’ post. But I am genuinely curious, now that the season has progressed and St. Brown has shown that he can be a true number 1, how will Jameson be affected. Has his value decreased? Can he take over the WR room? I’m wondering because I thought he was an amazing prospect and I’m potentially in a situation where I can get him from another owner

Williams value was always likely to drop in the short term with the real possibility even at draft time that he could miss the entire season. I still think he is a very solid prospect and could become the #1 option because he and St Brown play different roles but St Brown is the much safer asset at this point. Despite health issues this year himself, St Brown has proven again he is a very good young WR asset and can put up solid numbers.

I think that Williams has more raw talent, but that he will struggle with Goff at QB.
I think ARSB is built for a QB like Goff, and will be the better WR in 2022.

Future value depends on Lions next QB, and what his strengths may be to unlock Williams raw talent.

This will definitely make a difference. If you told me Goff would be here several more years, ARSB is perfectly suited for that. I believe in Jamesons talents in getting open and a legit QB would turn him into a dangerous weapon.

I believe Jameson does things ARSB can not and vice versa. They should be able to coexist, especially with Hock out of town and Swift not stepping up. We probably won't see Jamo until next year.

It may be Goff for a few more years at this point.

Well I would expect that to favor ARSB.

This thread seems like a repeat of the Michael Jordan or Sam Bowie debate.
