What is people’s general view in Myers?
Would people move a future 3rd for him? He’s been fairly productive so far this year but wondering on others outlook for him longer term?
I am a competing team looking for a little depth in case of injuries
Thanks

Re: Jacobi Myers price check
A future 3rd is a pure dart throw and while he is not a big name, Meyers is worth this. Nice price for a solid flex option.
Re: Jacobi Myers price check
Thanks. I have a similar feeling. I think a 2nd would be too much unless it was guaranteed really quite late (14 team league).
Thanks

Re: Jacobi Myers price check
I think Myers is a great buy right now if his value is a 3rd. He still has the stigma of "Mr. Can't Catch a TD" but he is producing is a poor offense with points per game putting him in WR1 territory making his a great buy for a competing team.

Re: Jacobi Myers price check
I would give a 23 mid 2nd (12 team) for Meyers, competing in 23 or not. Underrated IMO.

If you can get him for a 3rd round pick then I would go for it.

Re: Jacobi Myers price check
Jakobi Meyers is a constantly underrated WR.
When he joined the Patriots in 2019 as an UDFA, people said he's just training camp ballast who will never make the 53 roster. He did.
People then said Tom Brady will never target a rookie WR. He did.
In 2020, the Pats spent a 1st on N'Keal Harry. People said that's the end of the Jakobi story. It wasn't.
People then said Jakobi wouldn't click with Cam Newton. He did.
In 2021, the Pats brought in Agholor, Henry and Jonnu, and people said there'll be no more room for Jakobi. There was.
This year, they signed DeVante Parker. People said Jakobi's volume will drop and he'll play second fiddle now. He didn't.
See if you can get him cheap. If yes, keep him and never let him go again. If not, up your offer, then keep him and never let him go again. No matter whom the Pats will bring in next year, no matter what people will say.
Jakobi's a baller, plain and simple. He's a QB-turned-WR, and refined his QB skills as a teen in Cam Newton's talent academy. That's why he is so easy to build chemistry with QBs, and why they keep using him on trick plays in which he passes the ball.
I drafted Jakobi in the 2019 rookie draft, in the 3rd round, and never dropped him again. Saw him in a preseason game (think it was against the Steelers), making a contested catch in which he was tackled in mid-air by 2 defenders, still made the catch and even got a few YAC. That moment I knew I wanted this guy on my roster. Could probably have scooped him up for free off the waiver wire after the draft, but didn't want to take any chances. Can't say I regretted it.

Excellent post. Own him in all of my dynasty leagues. Very underrated and an easy buy at this price.ZakHH wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:17 pm Jakobi Meyers is a constantly underrated WR.

Re: Jacobi Myers price check
I’ve never owned this man once.
Until yesterday, now I own him as a solid depth piece on 2 of my contenders
I honestly wouldn’t sell him for less than a 2nd (and these are deep IDP leagues where a 3rd rounder is a vanilla league’s 2nd)
