Advice on schemes for beginner IDP

Hello, sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance! I started watching football a few years ago been playing fantasy football for a few years now. I recently decided to get into IDP and so would like to learn more about scoring/best positions to target and just more about defensive football in general. I've read MR ROURKE's posts and started to do a bit of research into the different schemes and player positions. I'm starting to get a better grasp but still have some difficulty understanding how it translates over to fantasy so I was hoping I could jot down a few bullet points and hopefully some of ye can tell me if I'm on the right track, give me any other advice/info or provide any good sources of info. The league I currently play in starts 2DL / 2DB / 2LB + 2Flex and uses a slightly modified but basically the same as 123IDP scoring system.

Again, I could be well off with my understanding of defensive schemes so any corrections to my following points would be greatly appreciated. Also I might use the wrong terminology/abbreviations for players but I'll try my best

1: My understanding is that when it comes to DL, I should be looking at DE's and more specifically DE's who play in a 4-3 scheme as it gives them the best opportunity to successfully get to the QB? However I should still start a DE, who for example, plays in a 3-4 scheme over a DT who plays in a 4-3 (unless maybe the DT is an elite player who plays in 4-3. And a 3-4 DT should be avoided like the plague)

2: For LB's my understanding is that I should be aiming to acquire LB's who play in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme(not as imporant as DL), more specifically MLB's who ideally play in zone-heavy systems like Cover-2/Tampa-2 or else OLB's who play in 3-4 as pass rushers. (Side note - Are there any resources that have stats on who plays zone heavy systems the most? I can't seem to find any).

3: I don't have much info on the best type DB to get. I know CB's should generally be avoided but is there schemes that help boost Safety point scoring?
