Andrews for Pitts in rebuild

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Andrews for Pitts in rebuild

Postby Badgersfan222 » Thu Oct 06, 2022 4:47 am

I am in a rebuild in a 12 team SF, PPR, & 2.0 TEP league.

I got an offer to send my Andrews & C. Samuel for Pitts and Fant.

I know it’s having a down here, but I’m seriously considering this. Thoughts?

I’ve been having the same debate in a league where I am competing and own Pitts. I have been going back and forth about proposing a Pitts for Andrews trade to the Andrews owner who is rebuilding. I think the value is very close.

This is not a move anyone should make. Mark Andrews is one of the most consistent fantasy football players, even outside of the TE position. He is elite and is only 27 which means still has like five years left. Kyle Pitts is on one of the worst offenses and has been outproduced by many of his colleagues on that offense. Andrews is still a great rebuilding piece in my opinion.

No reason to trade an elite player for someone you hope to be elite. Pitts has so many red flags but this community constantly glances over them. I’d need a first on top of Pitts to even consider this for Andrews.

As a owner of neither. I would much rather have Andrews over Pitts.

andrews by a lot for me but i was never very high on pitts and saw this poo season coming a mile away, i did expect regression from andrews though and we may still see that as dobbins gets fully going but dang andrews is good and hes 27, many great TE have produced well nearing age 35, so its not like andrews is nearing the end in my mind. unless you are on a 7 year rebuild plan i think andrews is a solid guy to build around.

Piling on, this is Andrews easily. He is far from old and is an elite TE. Pitts is considered an elite TE but his stats far from back that up. The value is probably close because of Pitts absurd value but this is Andrews comfortably. If Pitts keeps trending the way he is going...the community will have to admit that Pitts is simply not worth right now what many project that he is.
