JT for Jefferson (see poll)

A league mate and I (Team 3) were going back and forth about me sending him my JT for his Jefferson.

He initially said he'd send me Jefferson for JT straight up. I bring it back up again last night and now he is wanting me to add to JT to get Jefferson. Adding to JT seems...asinine, but I get it, it's Jefferson and likely a longer shelf life.

Am I way off here in my hesitancy/declination to add to JT for Jefferson?

What would others do in this situation? I am in no hurry to move JT, especially since my RBs are a bit older, but pairing Jefferson with Chase would be...fun.

Also FWIW, I do have two 2023 firsts that I expect to be top 4, one is likely 1.02 at worst. So I could always draft RB next year if this trade were to actually go down.

If I have to add, what value level am I adding?

Jefferson is my top overall asset in dynasty (1 QB) but Taylor is obviously not far behind. I can see either side wanting a small add but straight up seems fair to me. Jefferson should have a longer shelf life but we have no idea how that plays out in the modern NFL either. Straight up is fair and I don't see either side adding.

Agree this is a fair swap and neither side should add.

Couldn't agree more. This is straight up a preference thing. These guys are so close in value, neither should be adding, however, if one side wants to get it done badly enough, i could see the other asking for a small add. Guess it comes down to how badly you want to make that deal? JT is my favorite fantasy asset in 1QB leagues right now. However, if you believe in Saquon and ETN, you could easily make this move and grab a top RB next year as you mentioned.

Id be willing to add a 3rd onto JT for Jefferson. Anymore and it’s a no go. They are so close it’s ridiculous.

We start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 3 flex. And yes it is PPR. His RBs are Dalvin and gibson with chase Edmonds as his rb3. Hence the possibility of this even going down.

He initially wanted Goff on top of JT, which was a no, so I am highly doubting this gets done.

Also it’s Jefferson in the deal for JT. I already roster chase.

They are even. However, paying a 2nd or 3rd would not be the end of the world if you get your guy.

you playing in 4 leagues with the same guys? notice you have loaded rosters on all of em and own early 23 firsts as well...seems odd or like you are far superior to everyone in all leagues lol
